When I finished the Rune Knight Job Change Quest I got Magic Stone Ring [1] (+2 Str Ring) as the reward. Is there any way I can exchange it for the Energy Rune Guard [1] Shield? I really don't need the ring at all and the shield seems the best for Dragons Breath.

you get it if you dont go job 70 thats what my fail RK got the first time around

I did every thing flawlessly (I was also 99/70), but I still did not get anything useful I think the rewards are random.

I opened a ticket and I hope they can help me as I am going to be a DB variant build and 2% SP would help a lot. I really don't want to remake my char just for a item I have no control in getting.

I got Rune Plate after changing from LK at job 70.

The rewards (Rune Plate, Energy Rune Guard, and Magic Stone Ring) are either random or based on your success rate at the rune creation part of the quest. From what I recall, there's still a chance to fail even if you got the right rune because some of them use the same shape for different runes (violet spiral, I think). The job level has nothing to do with it.

They are in the game, but the only one with real value is the shield, the armor is nothing but just that a slotted armor and the ring is not nearly as decent as many others acc out there. The shield however is the best for DB build : / and its 0 weight to boot!
