I re-installed again last night and tried it all again...no go. Nothing worked.

Did you try what I suggested regarding the virus scanning software?

Recent versions of the RO client have been giving false positives from virus scanners.

Indeed, and I really want to get back to it. Seems like I always have to solve some new problem when i leave for a bit. It's like punishment.

I wish people would stop using Comodo. So many problems with it and not just with RO. I've had countless computers come into work with it installed and once its gone suddenly everything works like it should!

Thankfully I've gotten enough customers through the door to change their AV to something more reasonable. Be it Norton, BitDefender or MSE. Any of those are a much better alternative than Comodo.

Also, do yourself a favor, only purchase an Anti-Virus. Don't spend extra money for a firewall or whatever else they package in. Norton 360/Internet Security for example is such a waste. AVG is even worse, 7 processes have to run before you can even to doing anything after starting your computer.

I have kinda the same problem, my classic RO works but my ragnarok does not, i tried run as admin, Tried moving the entire folder to desktop did not work, tried it multiple times in that same patching pattern too. also here's the error "failed to unpack 2012-8-17data_gm_r.rgz". I played this before with no problems even with the classic RO too but these new updates to the patcher started giving me that error, but i will try deleting all files and reinstalling. i guess my monk gots to wait while i watch The secret world of Arrietty. Ps: i don't have those anti virus system like you guys have and i don't think mines affecting ragnarok on my computer.

Hey the deleting all files and redownloading works for me. Now i can play ragnarok online.

I have same problem. I've tried all the fixes above plus a bunch more listed from other posts. Ragnarok.exe patches but as soon as I click start nothing happens and no error report. ClassicRO.exe patches and as soon as I click start I get this error code:

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, then use repair program. I've listed all .exe files in scan exclusions. I've installed to folder outside of program files. I only run .exe as admin. Nothing has worked :\

I am upgrading to Windows 7 this weekend and starting fresh, I'm hoping this will solve my issues.
