So new guy here , created my account and downloaded the game from the website. Patched both the normal and the classic clients as instructed (running as admin) however on both I am getting this message. I am unsure of what to do as I am able to play several other mmo's perfectly right at this current time. Really want to try this out so any help would be great right now. Thanks!
Just downloaded game but getting unable to connect to the server messages.

At what point do you get that error message?
When running patch client?
After patching, when you enter un/pass, before server select?
After server select, before character select?
After selecting a slot at character select?
What exact error message do you receive?
Is there any firewall running that you need to tell to allow RO to connect to the internet?

Before the server select (after I've typed my account details in.) The message is : unable to connect to server. Yes both are allowed to connect to internet on my firewall.

Issue still persisting on both , failed to connect to server. On verge of giving up : a lot of hassle just to play a game.

Well... At that point, all I can say is that it sounds like something is blocking RO from accessing the internet - the servers have been up this whole time (though they're down as I post this for the usual weekly maint).

Ok , thanks for the help. I'll try the game when I'm visiting relatives or something in a week or two to check if it's my connection here or my laptop being annoying.
