Hi, I just downloaded and installed the game, and got everything updated but when I try to start playing a setup window apear with settings for graphics, screen size and a bunch of other things. And after setting everything to the way i want it I click on the ok button. But after this the same settings window comes back again and I cant get it to go away... Anyone know why ths is happening and if I can fix it somehow?

ps. sorry about the crappy english, it's due to a combination between dyslexia and being born in a non-english speaking country.

I had the same problem when installing it on my new computer. I just had to run the main executable as an admin and it worked fine.

@ColourMageKnight: Try re-installing the game and see if that helps. A file may have corrupted during the update.

I actually did. <.< Only once though.
I've heard disabling avast! works? I'd try that, but how do I even turn off Avast!? :wah:

So you set an exception in avast, and it worked, whereas before it was crashing with a gravity handler error? I ask because i didn't know avast could cause gravity errors - usually it just silently falls when you press start when avast is the problem.

I haven't done anything with Avast! yet. But that was the error I got both times when I installed it, whether I ran as admin or not.

I was told to turn off avast and download it. But I can't turn off Avast. There isn't even a command for that! :p_sad:
I've also found that you can put RO in your safe list, but I couldn't find that command either. :p_swt:

You can right click in the Avast menu (at the side of the clock) ant choose "Avast module control" and Deactivate all modules, i did it and its working now =D
(obs.: sorry if your avast dont show what i wrote, not an english native speaker and my avast is not in english xD)

I have avast as well, and it does the exact same thing to me.

It is the behavior shield specifically that is the problem, if you click on real time shields, find the behavior shield, open that up, and click the stop button, it has an option for turning it off for 10 mins, which is what i do, so i dont have to take the game down to turn my antivirus back on. And it works like a charm.

So far, i cannot seem to get any exeptions to work, I've tried everything listed in the forums and using the browse feature and clicking on the files in question. But turning off the behavior shield isn't really that much of an imposition. :heh:

... That's all great and good that it worked for me, but how do I make my screen bigger?!? :hmm:

It's only this big now! [ ]
My blue mouse shows up and the music plays, but that's it...

EDIT Nevermind, it's working! Yay!

I reinstalled game, added "trusted process" to "Real-Time Shields -> Behavior Shield" and I still can't turn on the game. Could anyone please tell me a good solution for this?

Please describe the behavior you are seeing, and what antivirus you're using.

When you say you added "trusted process", you mean you added the RO executables (ragexe.exe or clragexe.exe in the RO folder) as "trusted processes", right?

Situation little changed. I'm using Avast, and yes I added ragexe.exe and clragexe.exe to trusted processes. After I turned off and on antivir I can get to "Ragnarok Setup" but... I can't turn this window off. My system is Windows 7 (64).

You mean you get the setup program, but it doesn't go away when you click OK?

Awesome - that's an easy fix. Run the game as admin.

Oh thanks. I must forgot about it. So the main problem was with restarting antivir. Thank you very much.
