As the title says, my game won't launch anymore. It'll patch and do whatever it has to do, but when I click "start" simply nothing happens. When I try opening classic, it tells me an unexpected error has occurred along with a bunch of numbers. I'm pretty sure I know what the root of the problem is, I just want to know if there's any way around it.

My father bought me an anti-virus yesterday, Norton, which I downloaded in the background while I played the game. Today I turned off the clients while I rebooted my laptop, but now I can't open them anymore. I've tried to disable the "Smart Firewall" as well as the "Anti-Virus Auto-Protect" but to no avail. I've marked RO as "trusted", from what I see, with the same results. When I was googling for a possible solution, I read a lot of people have issues running both RO and Norton, but others also mentioned there are ways to make them co-exist.

I haven't had a problem with the game prior to installing the anti-virus, and I have my RO files installed on a drive separate from C. I would REALLY rather not have to uninstall the anti-virus since it was a gift, so any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah Norton gets a false positive from the ro client. I think its been quarantined by Nortonat this point

Norton is not a great antivirus, either. MBAM or kaspersky is better

I read about it ending up in the quarantine, but when I checked it was empty. :/

Never had any kind of experience with Norton prior to this, so for all I know I could be looking in the wrong place - but from what I can tell I've set RO to trusted, checked the quarantine and etc but it still seems to refuse to let it run. I was considering uninstalling the anti-virus just to be 100% sure it's the problem, but I'd rather not have to go through the hassle of calling up my dad and getting the serial number again if it's avoidable.

(not sure if posting the whole error I get from the Classic patcher will help any?)

Just noticed if I enable "Silent Mode" the game will run, but it'll crash and give me the same "Unexpected error" message.
