Sword dance does not need level 5. Level 2-3 is good enough. Also maxed Gamble I'm not entirely sure is worth-while (I haven't seen the effects of the buffs and % values). I'm gone bear can be maxed if you have the SP attempt to max I'm gone bear and get gamble close or max. It'd be a good idea for you to farm hunter G for skill point+1's from capsules.

For gamble you don't need lv10, lv5 is good after that it just cost too much mp for little change(welll maybe a few % pure cri rate is a lot but gamble is always chance based on getting fury so I think it doesn't matter). Bears must be maxed. Sword dance doesn't need level 5 if you don't have enough points. Death bound is good for team fights especially now you can act right after using it, I would say lv5 for it, it lowers all stats. Get Wild Rage lv5 as well if you can. I don't even remember how many points do you get originally now. Go Go skill points farming~

I've taken out death stinger because idk how much i'll actually use it since it requires charging awakening. Is it useful enough to get it?
I always still have 45 points. Where would be the best place to put this.

This one's your call. In PvP it can mix into combos and the knockback isn't bad and it can be jump-canceled. The super armor it has can allow for some escaping as well but it's immediately canceled by an opponent who stuns, freezes, or does some sort of knockback to you.

It's level 5 does nothing but additional damage and awakening bar requirements. Though it max's 5 hits regardless of level it's damage can be surpassed by gust or Wyvern unless it crits in at least 2 of those hits. Also keep in mind the number of hits it does is based on distance from the opponent so you gotta be a certain distance for all 5 hits to connect but also you can't be too far away. If your in team pvp and your opponent is frozen or being affected by magnet then all 5 hits can connect w/o any knockback aiding in damage done to the opponents.

In PvE it's Overlord's best groggy bar filler and it can annoyingly knock back some mobs surrounding bosses. I love using this skill in both PvE and PvP. But it's your choice. Any endgame Overlord can be good in PvP w/o it. I just love it for additional damage in a combo and it was never really the most-used Overlord skill.

So if I didn't get death stinger, where would those 45 skill points best be put in? based on the current build

You don't have to put them. If you want your rising storm level 3 go ahead but that's just if you use it often or not. But you'd have 20 SP left over which you don't have to spend.
