I apparently dragged my quest log window off of the screen (to the upper-left corner) and now it won't come back to a spot where I can actually see it.

If restarting the client doesn't solve the problem, then do the following:

Warning: Making any errors while editing the Registry could break your Windows installation. If you're not proficient at using computers, then you should create a restore point using System Restore before editing the Registry, which will enable you to undo your changes if you make any errors.

  • Press Windows-R (the Windows key and the R key).
  • Type "regedit", and then press the enter key.
  • Answer the User Account Control dialogue window affirmatively.
  • Press control-F, enter "QUESTWNDINFO.X" into the "find" field, disable every option in the "find in" field except for "value names", and then press the enter key.
  • Wait until a matching key is found.
  • Select the "QUESTWNDINFO.X" and "QUESTWNDINFO.Y" keys (hold control to select multiple items), and then press the delete key.
  • Press "yes".
  • Press the F3 key to search for additional matching keys. If none are found, then you have finished.
  • Repeat steps 5 to 8 until no matching keys remain.
