Is there something I have to click on the setup.exe besides "OK"?When that happens, I open setup.exe and save the settings. Then my client works great.
I have the RO client automatically run as administrator.^ That, and run the client as administrator.

Also - is that the first error that comes up, or are there other's before it? The first one is the one that's most useful - there's another issue that ends in endless lua errors, but I only recognize it by the first one.
I get that issue if I try to start clients too quickly, so two patchers run at the same time, and once it happens, the system needs to be rebooted before it will work again (probably an issue with file locks).

It happens because the client is having trouble accessing the server/hotkey/region information, which is stored in the lua and lub files in ServerInfoz and savedata folders. In my case, it's always fixable by a reboot - so I'm not sure why it's not working for you. You could try forcing a repatch (put one of the patch.inf files from drazzy.com/patch into your RO folder, and it will reapply recent patches), but I don;t have high hopes for that.

Can re-installing RO fix the problem? That's the same one I was talking about.

Yeah, that'd be the next thing I'd try. I'd also make sure to install in a location outside of program files (advanced options during installation to set install location) - that can help prevent a number of issues.
