Ok, this is it. If I get no response for this I'm going to quit this damn game. here i am trying to play again and get back into it, and can't even GET into it because it's refusing to patch or does the stupid Setup.exe endless spam. I'm NOT going to redownload the client again because it took forever and i was lucky that it actually FINISHED. There is NOTHING with the original files from it, i've removed the files that it unpacked originally because it was failing to patch randomly but now it's always stuck at Failed to unpack 2012-8-17data_gm_r.rgz file. so please tell me how to fix this I have LITERALLY been trying for 12 hours now to get the effing client up and running.

...last person who helped me with team viewer only made things worse when i had a computer problem, and they KNEW what they were doing

I just restarted my pc and repatched it. It worked. Had that problem after the mini-maintenance today.

I only managed to DOWNLOAD it from the mirror today because the main one from here wasn't LETTING me download it. I'm redownloading the one from here since it's the oct. release rather than back in april like the mirror's is.

I'm not sure whether this is a permissions issue, or something else.

What version of windows are you running? Is it vista?

Have you tried uninstalling RO (no need to redownload) and installing it to a location outside of program files (click the advanced button)? Windows Vista/7/8 are picky about what happens inside program files, and Vista was particularly bad because it was MS's first attempt at UAC, so they got a lot of things wrong.

I'm fairly certain that i've already stated the fact that i'm using windows XP NOT Vista/7/8

And I got the one from the mirror which is the march 2012 version of the game btw because the one on the main site is being a prick and cancels at last second bc it says that the source file cannot be read, while my connection is still good on the internet

your suggestion only asks me for the installation disk and that's got nothing to do with the Ragnarok client so yes, I DID try it.
And no, I may use as many threads as needed to get my point across because no one seems to be offering any USEFUL advice, nor any advice in general that has actual DETAIL.

The occurrence of the error message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)" suggests that you might have one or more corrupted system files. I have inserted the disk and am running it, but i'm willing to bet that it will not solve anything

I just LOVE how the admin's, GM's and such don't reply when you're begging for the help because you've done EVERYTHING in your known power to try to fix THEIR mistakes, even WITH their limited guidance because they don't seem to be able to explain ANYTHING in detail for windows XP.

So hurry up PLEASE and give me a response on WTF i'm supposed to do now because your site wont let me get the file because it fails the download at the last second, the Setup.exe wont work, AND/OR the specific file fails to unpack during patching.
