just encountered a RK that could melee hit me through CSS... how is this possible? not only through css but Mirror image too? it didnt even drain my images... is this a cheat or what?

Crush Strike or Vellum Katzbalger since it drains HP and doesn't count as an actual attack maybe?

he killed me resed me and killed me again... i asked how he hit me and he didnt respond and CS doesnt bypass css

ROPDed him... hes using vellum Katzbalger... but how can it do damage if its not supposed to hit? CSS is supposed to evade physical attacks...

Oh, probably Vellum Katzbalger...That thing couldn't get more annoying...*Sigh*

It DRAINS a fixed 8% HP on every successful hit, it doesn't really count as a Melee hit, and can only miss you if you have high Flee/ P.Dodge. To be really honest, it should be more like: Deals melee damage equal to 8~10% of the target's max HP, making it count as a physical hit, and be blocked/ reduced similar to other melee attacks.

(I call it the "Noob ASPD RK weapon" since it bypasses nearly everything, and isn't based on STR/ Real damage.)

That sword effects bypasses most stuff.(i.e. white imprison,etc).

MVPs / God items don't even go through stuff like Safety wall, White imprison, shadow form, etc. It's most likely a bug.

It only works in pvp it drains 8% of your HP per hit. Not really a problem if you have 40k HP or Less HP. Not really a problem if use Flying Kick (Removes Beserk Potion) or Dispel. Not really a problem if you realize the RK takes 40% more damage (No Combat Knife or Thara Frog). Crush Strike does exactly 8% of your HP if they use it with Vellum Katzbalger. The Sword Isn't OP the Rune Knights Max HP is... (I want 100,000+ HP).

Exactly...This weapon is far from OP and makes AGI rk`s viable now but with a lot of cons as well. You will need 193 aspd and although you can still default GR, WoE Set and have runes, 60k+ hp and parry you will still be squishier than some classes.

yeah when i was on RG (after long break from RO) with reflect on, was wondering why an RK keeps meleeing me and not taking any reflect back, figured its was a vellum weapon. dont think it is OP though, but of course u may think it is if u dont pot and just stand there, or let the RK catch u within range in the first place. + vellum weapons that take %hp is a good way to pressure pesky K/Os depending on CSS too much in the future. =P (btw, i would probably worry about SCs copying muchanage /gg)

Yeah,but getting hit at 193 aspd with that thing.....your gonna need these woe whites or if your another rk,pop an isia,or if your a SC,get a SL.

But low hp mod chars should be alright,I guess.I never got hit on my WL or ranger with it though or even my ninja,so I kind of forget how much damage it does to them.

In any case,I'd just speed pot away.

You can always Speed Pot away from it... Works for me at least.

Also its a counter for Players with ridiculously high HP...

It is possible... 83% of our RK's are usually like this and I'm pretty sure, the other top guild on old Ymir (Anim) have their RK's with 200k+ HP same as us thanks to WoE Sets... that's how our competitive WoE's used to be (and hopefully it keeps like that with this merge).

PS: I personally have 90k+ w/o Tao on my brand new RK lol... asking guildies for WoE builds and such is always useful.

on my ninja all i could do was try to pot... since it bypasses css completely it doesnt push you back... you cant escape it... it doesnt proc defensive autocasts from say ROFL ROR combo o anything... it just does damage and thats it...

Sorry, I don't do PvP only WoE so I don't include Charge Attack. Also @Face Killer Its like a Vampire Bat have someone else swat it off or suffer from lack of blood. (Ultimate 1v1 Weapon heh)

Were talking PvP here not WoE. This weapon has even more problems to deal with in WoE and isn`t as viable as people think. Again it has its pros and cons and you need 193 aspd to attain it which is a problem with Chasers flying kicking everywhere.
