Hi All!
I am brand new to the game and I am confused about how to use the chat system. I see lots of people talking in the "Trade" channel but I can't seem to figure out how to enter that channel and/or say something in the channel.
I tried /Enter Trade but then when I typed it didn't do anything.
Can someone please explain to me how to use the chat system or provide a link that explains it?

There is a tiny button on the far left next to the place where you type text. Click on it and you can select where you want to type. Alternatively you can type "/2 " [backslash2 spacebar enter] and it should work by transitioning you to the color of that chat channel.

You can switch chats by simply typing "/#" then hitting space. Without the quotations. This will make it so all of your following messages will be said in the chat.
/n = normal chat
/a = area chat
etc
/n = normal chat
/a = area chat
etc

Someone yesterday told me that players below 15 couldn't talk in trade chat, is that true? Seems kinda lame to be true. >_>

Well I just got to level 10 and I still can't chat in the trade channel

Yes, it's true. It's to prevent gold sellers from spamming the chat channels like they did in SEARO2 when it launched. People could hardly read anything but messages from gold sellers and there were so many of them spamming every chat channel. The level 15 requirement helped a lot and put a stop to it (at least til they get to 15 which took them some time).
