I'm back after 5 years off - Tips?

I returned to the game after 5 years away.

I need tips on which instances and which are the best ways to farm zeny.

I remember that temporal boots (ogh instance) were the best, but now they are outdated

I'm currently level 230 with basic/intermediate equipment

were you level 230 already at 5 years ago?

Just chill and clear Episode 18 quests once the update come (or do their dailies), farm zeny, then wait until Episode 19...

 

iRO is currently on worst pace when there is no endgame instances and gears until Episode 19 appears then any endgame current episode become obsolete.

No, I had RG at level 200 (maximum level at that time).

It seems that any monster instance or drop is extremely undervalued.

 

I remember that 1 Coagulated Spell was around 1m

Just keep on levelling in amicitia and nifl dungeon. When you do all its mini bounty quest, use bmx3 to turn in all at once. Then repeat next day. Levelling 230 and above is a bitch... unless you feel bored and want to create new char and try out different job classes.

Lvl 200 being the max is only 2 years ago. you didnt really miss much. we have the new ether dust dropping from mobs in lvl 200 maps you can farm those. the drop rate is really low but they sell for a little over a million a piece

or if you want a slow but steady source of zeny, you can go to magma dungeon 4 and pick up every piece of equips you see on the ground and sell them to npc. you will be making a million or two each trip. maybe less

What gears for episode 19 are you talking about? Thanks! 

Bruh we are not even episode 18 yet

You gotta wait for at least 2 years to wait ep 19 contents unless someone keep nudging the studio to rush the update as close to kRO. But then, that will make the prices of current OCP to drop significantly as ep19 gears are strong and thus will hurt current economy. Just dont wish for it.
