Why does it take 9 months to delete a character?

I tried to delete 2 characters from my account but then it says my characters will be deleted in 9 months. 9 months is too freaking long to wait for, i would have expected a week. Who had the ridiculous idea that to delete a character it would take the same time to make a baby?

Nine months is the standard waiting time for post birth abortions.

 

Also as soon as the timer is not in red text anymore you can delete the character.
Which takes like, 5sec?

Last time it was instant to delete a character.

 

Now, there's a 24h delay after you select character deletion which you have to wait for next day. Then click "delete" option again once the timer ends.

thats just wrong you only have to wait till the text changes to blue then you can delete your char, it takes like 10 seconds

Looks like the information i had got mixed up with other server, sorry about that! Just realized iRO takes short amount of time to reserve a deletion

you need to wait in the character select for a while until youre allowed to delete the character you want. logging in one then going back to cc will reset the timer i think.
