bug on assumptio?

i dont know if it's just me but every time i cast assumptio on myself the whole screen turns white or inverted coloring, nothing happens when assumptio is casted on other players but on me. Either it's me or others have problems with this kind of thing, and if it's just me what are ways to stop this kind of thing. i know the use of lightmap but it bugs me about the environmental setting with no lights on any map and just plain dull environment.

Change random graphics settings, and it may help. The GMs are very aware of this issue. How frequently this occurs depends on hardware, software, drivers, settings, and bad juju.

My understanding is that it's due to interactions between poor implementations of DX7 support on modern graphics cards (because they're focused on DX11 and such) and the generally poor coding we' all know is the norm with RO.
