Why will classic server have magic stones from cash shop to job change? I'm not ranting or anything, just wondering why xD

It's been discussed. It's to deter bots. You HAVE been paying attention, right?

Too bad the way they decided to do it isn't gonna stop or even slow down a single bot.

well A ) theres been way too many threads and rants and i tend to forget whats fact and whats just ranting from a stupid person * cough * but thanks for the Ahole remark, you are so valuable as always < sarcasm font >

On topic: Hmmm i guess i can kinda see how it would attempt to deter bots. worth a trial run, i suppose ;)

Erm, I apologize if my remark appeared a-holeish but that wasn't the intent...

Yes, the magic stones are required for ALL players until they get VIP properly working on the classic server.

Yep... They might as well just remove them if it's going to be in its current implementation.

They should make it so that you need a magic stone to change to your first class. If they sell the stones at a reasonable sum of like $1 or $2 anyone should be able to afford them, you can do surveys to get that much WPE in very little time. You may now ask if it doesn't take much time to do the surveys won't the botters do them too? They might, but it'll be just yet one more obstactle and more effort they need to do in order to bot properly. Not to mention Gravity would make money from every botter then, might as well make some money off of them if they're here to stay, right? But I do honestly think that it would at least slow down botters and deter mass botting if there was a $1 or $2 equivalent kafra shop fee to change to first class.

It's not really a big deal, you can watch some videos and easily have a stone by the time you're ready to job change.

I kind of understand it, but the needing stones irritates me.

Surveys, videos, and other stuff it is, then. I completely forgot they added that in.

Another thing I don't understand is why everyone is so against paying money to play a game. About half of all RO players seem to complain that they don't want to pay to play the game because it's so expensive, but I mean... A VIP subscription costs less than going out for lunch. A magic stone costs about as much as a can of soda. Yet these are things that people don't even hesitate to buy normally, they're such trivial sums of money.

Most people normally spend tons of money to buy alcohol, expensive food, candy, snacks, soda, etc... But paying like $10 a month to play a game is too much to ask for? Seriously get real...

Ahaha... some people don't exactly have the conservative mindset or the thought of "Eh, it's only 10 bucks, it isnt gonna kill me"

Alot of states have high taxes on tobacco products. Some brands in Washington State are $11.00 per pack.

On topic, it shouldn't be hard to do a few surveys and get a stone. It can be accomplished in a few days.

People don't want to pay for subs, they want to pay for lucky boxes.
It is known.

its not gonna do anything to bots in the long run all it does is stop them from from going to higher up level areas which is what they dont do already the only place it will probably help deter them from it gh @ raydrics everywhere else the yare still going to be able to level up high enough to hunt for items even if the ystay as first classes.

You have to watch 21 videos to purchase a stone, the minute the stones are tradable that's the minute outlived their purpose.

It won't. the mega farms where vadon / mark / phen and those were battle aco bots since you got teleport for free - they never went battle priest. This was back on Chaos years and years ago already.
