Im new i have a couple of questions

-is this game still a grind fest? , like hours and hour, to get your exerience bar up 1% ...
-The drops are still like bad?, like the other question you need to spend days and weeks even moths to get a card.
-The WoE are still fun like i remember?
-The classes are balanced or the assassins still are the op class like killing everything with one sonic blow?
-If they are not balanced, what are the most overpowered classes right now?
-For a new player is hard to start from scratch?
-what class and what other advices can you give to someone that will start from 0
I know there are a lot of questions but, well i hope someone can answer them to give me an overall idea of how is the situation of this game.
thx

I not that new to RO, y played it ages ago, and i know some of the basics, but i dont know renewal at all and i need to ask some questions before deciding to try this game again or not:

Renewal wise:
- No it's not as grind intensive as pre renewal. TI's plus manuals make leveling easy.
- With HE gum and VIP the drop rate isn't bad.
- WoE should be fun since all the GM attention is focused into 2 servers. (Less cheaters please)
- The classes are pretty balanced if you get the right gears, it's more on who can switch faster than who, especially if you play assassin, changing converters when one doesn't work.
- Before it was sura, but now not really, with the WoE set you can easily survive GoH provided they arent low HP, in which case you should be able to 1 shot them.
- With Renewal's broken economy right now, it might be tough at first, but once the economy stabilizes everything should be fine.
- Ranger, archer class is the cheapest to level and run, the key to getting money is joining a guild that does Endless tower runs. Rangers are needed there to clear mobs, which in turn gives you a share in the profit.

GX is pretty good at offense but its a little more skill intensive. A lot of gear swapping. Precise movement is important. Good gear is required to kill efficiently. GX is really easy to level.
Rune Knight is great at offense and pretty good as a tank. Just expect to spend a lot on supplies. Rune Knight is also really easy to level.
If you want offense I would go with one of those classes. I have a 150/50 of those three(see ropd below) and have played them a bit so I can vouch. Royal Guard is still ok at offense. I can't really say much about Warlock or Sorc since i never really tried those personally.

Speak with the guy behind the desk on Eden with the red hair, he'll give you a quest to conquer the desert. go to Morroc , go 1 map South 1 map 1 East and go to the wolf in NPC just above the lake, you'll give you 3 quests, first to kill condors then to kill tbaby dessert wolves, finally scorpions. once you finish that last quest, he tells you to go back to the guy in Eden. He tells you to go through the blue door and talk to the guy who issues you the first Tier off Eden gear
a few levels later you get another question upgrade to a better set of gear and eventually a nice weapon
Ok thx for the info, and for the leveling, any suggestions?, do i continue to do quest from eden or there are more efficients way to do?

At level 14 you can go to the church and buy a smasher for 9000z
this is a level 2 weapon. Using enverticon that you buy for 1000z near the upgrade npc, you should be able to upgrade that Smasher 2 to + 6. that should last you a long time

where you level shouldn't be too much of an issue just make sure you have a good weapon

But i keep doing the eden quests? or i only go and kill stuff, the quest seem pointless they give really bad exp...
Also, some guy writed this on the acolyte forum:
You want to base your stats off of your gears. If one has a +14 kvm mace then it's worth getting 120 STR. If one does not then 100 STR will be good enough for Goh/Gfist. How fast do you want to snap? decent = 40agi good = 60agi crazy good = 80 agi. Balance out your main skill with int and dex. Goh = 80 int/100 dex. Gfist = 100 int/80dex. Pure gfist 120 int/120 str/0dex if pure gfist.
arg this class is stupid now since everyone wears reduction gears. I'll stop writing about it here. Go make a chaser, gen, rg, warlock, sorc if you want to win.
So... is this true?, the sura now is really that bad, and i instead go for the classes he suggested?, because i dont want to find in the future that my character is bad because a nerf or something...

Sura feels bad right now for old sura players, because they are used to 1 shotting everything with a single gates of hell.
I wouldn't consider a Sura the main killing class of any group oriented thing, unless it's in pvp. In WoE, they are one of the best support classes. And not the usual support by standing around in the back, healing/buffing/etc. But by running straight into an enemy group, and disabling them while your allies rain fire on them.
Been playing sura since renewal first hit, and never stopped loving it.

They were not nerfed in any way. At this time Sura's are played with a little more skill if you want to succeed and not just 1 shot people. Play the class, there are a lot of tricks and timings you have to learn but in the end the rewards are good.

You even get charged for teleporting and entering storage, this is ridiculous.
