Hi all,

Sorry I'm pretty new to this. I want to change to an assassin but it's saying I have too many skill points and I haven't got any more skills to use them up with. Is there anything I can do or am I stuck as a thief now?

Not possible. A job lvl 50 thief has 2 more points missing from completing the whole job skill. If you got spare points, I believe that you might need to double-check with the list for unlearned skills. Thief skills are:

Double Attack (10 levels)
Improve Dodge (10 Levels)
Envenom (10 Levels)
Detoxify (1 Level, Unlocked at Envenom Level 3)
Steal (10 Levels)
Hiding (10 Levels, Unlocked at Hiding Level 5).

Isn't hiding unlocked at Steal level 5 and not hiding level 5? I mean a skill can't unlock itself.

I was giving the max cap and the way to unlock the skill... though, in your case it's more to how to build the char. Also, with Detox learned, either steal of hiding will be lvl 8 while the other is lvl 10, recommended to have steal at lvl 8 since the only reason to actually bump it to 9 or 10 is to make rogue. That would normally be taken off of Envenom though.
