I'm nearing the lvl 65 stop for FoC and was wondering what gear i should aim for.
I currently have the FoC Nella set at +10 and a level50 staff at +17 and shield at +15.

And also, is there a site that has a list of weapons and their location to find them? even the bodgey Requiem-wiki doesnt have that. (cant figure out where you get guardian of fairy shield...)

You get GoF and MM wand from blue boss in DS (he's in east wing/left side as you enter DS).

For grind use 65 foc set, or you may do as Maero does and use +20 Nella and sylkia helm + shoulders. The Nella set has the int stat unlike the 65 set. A magic swallower would be great for giving you nice dps and more hp. The s1 swallower has higher int and con but the s2 swallower has very nice scad(skill critical addional dmg).

I don't get why people use staffs. They have MND not INT, and the magic damage has the same average as a wand. Lower minimum, higher maximum, same average.

Fair enough S2 Mag Swal has SCAD, but Moo wand has skill crit %, much better IMO. Plus with GoF shield you have more yummy stats, same CON, and many more enchant slots too.

EDIT - forgot to add, my defi is a crit build, gone for S2 Black Sun set cos 1 it's cheap, and 2 it's got more skill crit.

~52% skill crit at L65 with lame + on armour and jewels with 0.30/0.30% xeons and +15% in wand. Hm need monies to improve gears methinks. He is low priorty toon. Sits in corner feeling unloved

^ using +20 L60 crit wand, and L25 theme magic shield for its crit

Well, i was thinking in equiping my defi in a diferent way.
I tryed the clasic foc armor and reinforced jewels, and i tryed the 66 armor with them. I try to enchant jewels with HP or Crit %. And everytime i came to the same :P.... or i dont do enough dmg or im squishy as :)...
So i was thinking in changing equipment this time...
What about some SL ID set enchanted with crit and svs curse dmg on foc armor?
I think right now could be the best way to balance the class a bit more, getting some better HP without losing to much dmg.
If some1 allready tryed that id like to know the results since i dont have enough lant to do it right now and my rad is my top priority on equipment

And well, in the case of staff vs wand... i would say it depends on your other stuff that choice. If you manage to get like 50% crit chance or more i would say go staff to get that nice extra skill crit add dmg. If your crit % is lower then go wand + shield. SCAD means nothing if you dont crit a lot.

in case of staff vs wand:

s1 66+ staves > anything s2 has to offer.

wands > s2 staves (ruan's competence s2 exception, that :P is gold)

if you want perfect balance between survivabilty and dps - get an s1 magic swallower. it has great int, awesome con and there are still lots of them going around if you look ;o also a hp enchated belt is nice to have. I personally still stick with my s1 biskra belt. I'd suggest taking the s2 biskra belt, + it and throw the best hp :) you can find. Wreckd is selling hundreds of hp/cons so might aswell get a few of those.

if you want to use svs curse dmg xeons don't waste them on foc set. +10 a biskra set and throw it in there. till now it's basically the best you can get. rest you can use hp enchanted black sun, or foc set if you will. Bes option would be s2 despair glvoes boots and shoulders hp wise and you'd get nice scad when +ed a bit too.

Well Ray, in my oppinion Biskra armor is not a good one. I know its the only armor that has int, but i like more the thigs that go up on foc armor. I mean, geting more int is sure fine, but acc and water resistances are kinda useless, so i would chose foc armor over biskra armor without any second thoughts for any mage. After that 72 armor (i dont really know whats ohh so huge about tyrants armor, but its my oppinion)

How many levels will the TB wand and shield last until? and how much does the reinforce and the enchant of MMW and GoF cost?

which reminds me, i need recommendations on Jewelry now XD. I dont think ill have problems with running out of Eximius Xeons since i have 1000+ of them and 18 compression xeons :)

TB wand/shield lasts till 79+ considering its main use in pvp is to reduce damage done to you. But in pve... well, till 70/71 at the latest before weapons outclass it (TB 65 :) is roughly equal to s1 69 rare gear in the base damage department).

reinforced hope is really the best set until the daybreak items; MMW/GoF are cheap, like 30 exi a step, 10k fee starting I think. And cram jewels with skill crit.

Also, ray. ;) LOVING the 65 FoC suit I'm making, you were right with the IM curse :). Its really making me delevel in JS though, I keep pulling every damn stun all at the same time.

jajaja glad you like it xD

I don't even really use mine that often anymore tho. I pull all the aggro all the time even with black sun s1 and 2 s2 despair parts...

also, tanking js as defiler is -_-loads of fun + you don't get stunned coz ur the first aggro XD

is it true that reinforcing a TB Shield IV which is supernus is better than buying the VI version which is eximius? cost wise ive heard its better but i dont have any evidence, or would it still be smarter to go hunt a GoF and up that?
