Hey RO!
Curious to hear everyone's opinion on making zeny apart hunting rares, selling WPE, or loot raiding.
I'm talkin grindin, mobbin, good ol' fashioned selling to NPCs kind of zeny making.
I know this isn't the way to make a fortune, but gathering mobs and committing genocide would be even more enjoyable if I'm making a pretty penny.
So what kind of wisdom does the community have to offer?
(Note: I have a 150 RG that I solo with often, if that information is necessary.)
Good ol' fashioned loot selling?

Not extremely effective, except for certain maps like Geffenia maybe (which requires a very long quest). You might be better off greeding at Orc Dungeon 2, Nogg, or some other populated maps. If you don't have a backpack, a blacksmith doesn't take very long to make for greed.
If you are willing to use gum, certain high level maps or guild dungeon maps might be worth it for your 150 RG, like bio 2 for rogue's treasures, and so on. Many rangers probably already do this though.
MVPing / endless tower can be profitable too of course, but there will be competition at natural spawns.

Maps with a high levels of AFKemists usually make good Greeding grounds as well -- they keep the mobs busy, and ignore the loot. It's especially profitable during Double Drop events, and can make a fair amount of change if you're just looking to cover NPC costs or make a million or two.

You could sell items for and from quests (Quest Requirements, Quest Rewards) on the streets.
You could buy underpriced items from merchants and resell them at a higher price for a profit.

Practically every item in this game has some sort of value. Be it as a catalyst, ingredient or quest item. This means that sometimes you earn more by selling it on the streets instead of an NPC. This also means that you may need the item later for said purposes.

NPCing items doesn't provide useful amounts of zeny typically, particularly on chaos due to how stupid much zeny is in circulation.
You need something you can sell to other players. In the past 9 years, RO has added quests using virtually every item in the game, so many "junk" items sell for a few thousand each to players, vs a few hundred to npc. Check buy shops on ragial for ideas.
