The extra ATK / DEF added due to refining is "static" right?

By that, I mean, the damage caused by the weapon won't increase, or be affected, by the player's stat or level changes, right?

I'm kind of confused by the actual effectiveness of refined equipments....

"Weapon Lv. 1 - Every +1 upgrade gives 2 ATK, 0~3 ATK for every Over Upgrade pass the +7 safety limit, and ? ATK for every High Upgrade pass +15."

So, for example, a level-1 +13 weapon would have:

2 x 7 = 14
(13-7) x 2 (assuming it gets 2 ATK bonus) = 12

So, the level-1 +13 weapon would have 14 + 12 = 26 ATK

Something like that?
So this means every hit I land on the target will have extra net 26 damage?

No. According to the article, the overupgrade bonus is a random value between 0~3. So it would be more like this:

13 x 2 + 6 x (0~3) = 27~ 45

The over upgrade attack bonus is random (It gets recalculated for every hit) and gives a minimum attack of 1.

So this means every hit I land on the target will have extra net 26 damage?

No. Other things come into play, like the defense of the monster/player you're attacking and the size penalty.

Hmmm..... then, is it worth while risking blowing up a weapon by refining it?
And because many people are selling refined weapons, I'm just curious if it's worth that money to buy them.

The level-4 weapons seem to give the most damage bonus.

Usually, yes.

You'll have to do a cost comparison and decide based on that.

Yes, or upgrade in manner that doesn't risk breaking (ie, safe certs and enriched hammer), assuming you have the resources for it - the damage added by overupping does matter.

But if you're new and short on funds, it's often more important to complete your basic gear before getting overupped components of it.

Thanks.

It's just that, sometimes I'm trying to figure out if it's worth while to take risk and refine the items myself, or just buy from others.
