Sup, I'm a newcomer to RO but I already know that the class I'm aiming for is monk. I keep reading stuff about the different monk builds such as combo, spirit and asura. I'm hoping you people can explain them to me if possible, that way i can start working toward monk with a better understanding of how I should build my character.

well normally the builds were like this

STR/AGI/DEX Combo builds that focused on the skills Raging Trifecta Blow, Raging Quadruple Blow, and Raging Thrust. You would do a normal melee attack to try and trigger Trifecta, and could then chain Quadruple and Thrust right after.

STR/DEX/INT-Standard Spirit build that focuses on casting Occult Impaction, Throw Spirit Sphere, and Guillotine Fist at a good speed with moderate damage.

STR/INT/DEX-Standard MvP Asura Build. Focuses on giving lots of SP and STR to maximize your Guillotine Fist damage.

DEX/VIT/STR-This is a Champion build, primarily focused on WoE for near Instant Cast speeds of Zen and Guillotine Fist, high HP and Stun Resistance.

HOWEVER......

With the implementation of Renewal, all of these builds are now gonna be thrown out the door because stats have a much different impact. You will want to get info about Renewal style builds for better information.
