I am trying to Kit out a Champ and not to sure what would be the best stats out of the following:

Str 20
Str 12 ap20
AP 30
AP25 Acc25
40Acc 50Crit

The Champ is to be PVM and is too yield a Two handed weapon.

I was thinking Lava set with 3R7's? is that the best set for a Champ still?

I would say 50/40, although you're likely won't miss on mobs you will crit a lot and with champ's ap buff your ap will be ok so no need to get ap stats.

Regarding jewelry, there is the luna set from sea of down dungeon. As a soldier it gives you +13% critical and +13% aspeed.

Small tip though, I think spear champs are the best for pvm ;D.

On my champ I use, courage aurum set, 50/40 oro present and backpack, courage widow maker, and luna set p7 (peridot). Lots of aspeed, fairly good ap and lots of criticals, a real pleasure to farm with.

Whats the alliterative to Oro's present? Dork Glasses? I cant afford that many role overs.

Why a Widow maker? isn't their a purple spear in game?

If I change to a spear would I need a skill reset?

Why the courage window maker ? because, like any other courage weapon, it has +15% aspeed, 62 critical and +4% pvm offense (basically +4% ap) which make them really great for pvm.

if you haven't used the free reset you have from the mayor in junon, I would advice you to change to spear, otherwise stay two handed sword it's still fine. Get courage caliburn if you stay two handed.

Honestly, It really depends what TYPE of pvm you're trying to do. cause there's build that are good for bossing, and builds that are good for AOE'ing.

For Bossing, Go with the set Luciolle is recommending. Aspd literally translates to AP. just in a different manner. Because you're attacking x.x% faster, you're invoking x.x% more damage per second. Things like AP, Crit and Aspd all increase your damage. But only on one target. You can't crit aoes. and Aspd doesn't make you cast skills faster. So they're worthless stats to have for a AoE build.

For AoE pvm, Go full bore attack power. Focus entirely on that alone. Hardened weapon [even though courage is nice, there's no point to the crit, just wasted stats], with reinf sets for 12str 20 ap sub-stats OR 20 str. Jewelry should be something like Lava R7.

the 12str/20ap or 20str choice depends on what you want. Do you want to hit harder? or do you want a lil more HP + def + carry weight? That's the only difference. I would suggest the 20str for a pvm aoe farmer, cause it gives you more carry weight to collect loot with. but that's just my personal preference.

A set only useful for aoeing and which is pretty bad for any other type of farming ? no point in it.

Plus you're forgetting two things

1. the +10% str from full courage set.
2. all the pvm offensive bonuses from courage, +6% ap compared to reinforced which is with 4k ap +200ap more than with reinforced.

Regarding the def issue, as a soldier except if you're fighting magic type monster (and if it's the case the extra def you're suggesting will be useless) you shouldn't be bothered with 15's.

So yeah even for aoeing the courage set remains the best.

Aoe is more important for me and I prefer higher ap so ill go with 12/20 stats

luna set r7/d7, courage set with r7/d7, exalted two handed sword r7/d7, aurum backshield 12/20 then and either the star glasses or glasses frame 12/20.

Whats the stats of a Luna set? in contrast to a Lava set.

Reinf set
4-5k HP [that's a large amount of HP, usefull when tanking many mobs]
HP recovery [useful when aoeing + taking damage, recovery HP much faster in between waves of mobs]
STR sub-stats [courage cannot have sub-stats, only hard code. full 20 sub-stat + 1 R7 is 70str + 8% str that's more then the courage 10% bonus]
10% offense, 10% defense[resistance works on reducing magic damage aswell, and will reduce more magi damage then courage] [totals 20%]

summary.
Reinf set gives more HP, more Defense, more AP and more resistance then courage set. it gives more vital stats to AoEing then courage does.

+207 hp recovery
Useless since when you're farming you will always have a cleric with you.

Regarding str, i really love how you compare courage set without gem and reinforced with a gem and you conclude reinforced is better because of it, just lol.

So right with 20str substat on boots, gloves and hats you get +60str, and with the r7 a total of 70str +8%str
Courage with r7 : 10str +10% str + 10str + 8% = 20str + 18% str

Conclusion in terms of str : courage is better.

pvm % mistakes on reinforced :

Although you got your facts rights with courage 12% offense, 4% defense; the reinforced is only 8% offense and 8% defense.

Conclusion in terms of ap : courage is better.

The only conclusion you were right about is that reinforced gives more survivability but soldier already have the best survivabilty so it is better to focus on improving attack. Plus if you only aoe it means you mostly have a cleric to support you and so on that better hp and hp regeneration is totally useless.

Vital stats for aoe are ap and accuracy in order not to get aoe damage divided by two and in those terms courage set is better than reinforced. Also, courage set will allow you to take down individual monsters way faster than reinforced.

So yeah feuer, once again you are trying to pretend that you are something you are not : someone with good knowledge of the game. *false numbers, comparating two sets with one gemmed and the other not and making conclusion out of false numbers.*

luna set stats and job requirement will change with the job you are wearing them, but the set always give +10% pvm offense and +10% pvm defense. For soldier the set gives, attack speed and critical (which are extras) since the 10% pvm offense only makes it already better than lava or arua herbarn.

No Idea what to get now courage or reinforced but I know one of them is right xD

Going to go with Luna rather then the Lava though, I think its a bit more expensive but will benefit me more, R7's ovcourse.

Iv got an Ashura Mask Str12 ap20 which will do nicely I think but someones selling a wired frame glasses with the same stat so I don't know if that's better dramatically or just slightly either way I am tempted to buy.

Aurum back shield is all Ill need then. Question, can champs hold a shield with a spear?

Hi !

I'm really disappointed !

I've a UW but his stat are useless :/

I bought a Courage WM with a P7, but i put R7 in my set (Luna and Courage).

So P7 is better when we do boss and R7 when we aoe right ?


And 25/25 on a BS is more usefull than 20 str ?
