Oh to clear out any confusion harpies do give half of what they gave before maintenance.
It's the juperos monsters and probably nogg road ones that have to be fixed.

I have emailed the GMs about nogg and Juperos incidents and they have replied stating that Juno dungeons (Juperos/nogg) are not going to have boosted exp from the spotlight. Only the field maps will have the boost.

While I appreciate your insight you aren't Oda & from the looks of things it doesn't appear that you are even staff so I'm not sure how you get all this inside information either way if the 100% EXP for VIPs was an "Event" as you say then it's strange that it was never announced that it was beginning or ending & it ended before the merge so the merge had nothing to do with it.

As far as the Double EXP & Double Drops I said what the reason was for it also which isn't the point. You can define the week how you want to but most of us didn't expect it to only be from Friday - Tuesday. If there weren't so many people surprised about it being removed so early there wouldn't have been so many posts about it. We all know it has to be changed during maintenance & it could have been taken out the next maintenance after the following Friday. I don't know when the last time is that we have gone a full week between maintenance anyways.

I shouldn't have to search for a reason or answer to everything that is posted or said just because the details are missing. If that's the case you could tell everyone to use the search system.

Uh no, there WAS an announcement on the forums about 100% EXP/DROP VIP thing being an event with no specified end date. You just don't want to bother searching for it on the forums (which you clearly even said in your post). It had everything to do with the merge.

Oda, so after potentially days of VIP being gone from people (and some people hesitant to renew their subscription until its fixed), we can't even keep double EXP or get the old VIP "promo" for a week? People pay for VIP and it probably hasn't been working since the Friday maintenance, that's a pretty big amount of time for a product not to work.

Even this poster knows about it. Please do your research.

No matter how much YOU want to define the week, it's a common occurrence on RO to conclude events on regular scheduled weekly maintenance unless if it was specifically said the event will continue past the maintenance day. You've been around long enough to know this yet you are willingly turning a blind eye to it.

Thanks for the info. Quick calcs from what you've provided.

Base EXP: Start at 360. VIP is 50% bonus, so 360 / 1.5 = 240. You're Geneticist is more than 30 levels higher than Harpies, so you're only getting 10% of the normal, which is 1201. 240 * 10 = 2400, which is about twice the base.

Job EXP: Start at 403. Taking out VIP, 403 / 1.5 = 268.67. Taking into account level differences again, 268.67 * 10 = 2686.67, again about twice the base (1349).

I don't know exactly how RO handles decimal rounding in the implementation of these EXP events, and I suspect that's why my baseline EXP calcs aren't exact (hence why I say "about twice"). However, they're only off by single digits (2 for base, 5.665 for job), a very small difference compared to what taking out any 2x spotlight modifier would do.

RO always "floors" it.

Yeah, spotlight bonuses were always 2x. Kunlun had a spawn boost, but amatsu had not. So amatsu feels nerfed.
