It is with a heavy heart I have to announce these themes will/are obsolete and new ones must be costructed. 

Not only do new ones need to be made, they need to be made from scratch, not even the image sheets can be salvaged.

 

The new theme will be a new years present for the community from me. I'll even see if we can't get the GM's to sponsor an event for the release. No promises

OK. I've been planning on a MOD kit for ROSE for a while, never getting around to it until recently.
Here's 6 new themes for the ROSE Interface. Click the color you want, and begin your download.
 

Note: These are Black Series themes, meaning they're mostly black but use the color you select as a highlight. Further instructions below.

 

Royal Black
Fools Gold
Black Ice
Dead Red
Electric Lime
Bubblyum

Installation:

• Download GenFS from here ✓
• Install GenFS all the way✓
• Grab the file you downloaded from the color selector✓
• Copy it to your ROSE root directory✓

Typically this is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Gravity\Rose Online"

• Allow it to over-right the file if needed.✓
• Launch the Game and enjoy✓

Bug Reports + Fixes:

HP Bar doesn't have enough contrast between the two layers, will be fixed.
Mini-Map needs adjustment, this was foreseen and skipped intentionally until a better mini-map design is made.

Thank you everyone, after hitting over 200 downloads for these themes, I've started working on new, more complex themes. These new ones will include a new UI layout! No estimated date of release as of yet, but it has been put back on my list of things to do. Thanks again.

Upon logging into This holidays patch I've noticed an update to the XML files which may have corrupted some of the themes. It is my sad obligation to announce these themes may be obsolete.

 

However.

 

I have been working on several new themes involving new XML layouts, and they will now be put to the front of my list of things to do. As a temporary fix, if you're experiencing any issues with this plug-in, you may go into the launcher and disable the plug-in, until the new versions are available.

You'll have to jump through some hoops.

You need the following
Paint.NET [HERE]
.DDS format plug-in [ find plug in downloads here]

Now here's the tricky part, you gotta find your own way to extract the image files from the client OR find the XML that controls the theme. Get all the identifiers written down, completely recode your own XML file to support a theme, then make your user interface in Paint.NET / Photoshop. Save the theme as a .DDS image.

Once you have your images you need
GenFS which you can find the download here
You'll also find all the info you need about GenFS in THIS thread.

If you have questions about GenFS, try leaving a response on the thread I linked you to. GenPatch is already your default patcher, so you do not need to download/change that. Just follow the instructions to install GenFS.

After you have GenFS, you need either WinZIP or WinRAR [WinRAR is here]
After you've installed WinRAR, you need to make the following folders

ModFolder
...3DDATA
.....CONTROL
.......RES

Put all your images into the RES folder for the new theme. [assuming you haven't changed the XML at all this is all you'll need to do, if you changed the XML you'll put it in the approriate directory]

Now perform the following

Right Click the ModFolder you made > Add to Archive... > Click "ZIP" > Rename file to "mod01.genfs" > click OK
Pace this folder in your ROSE root directory
ex "C:\\Program Files x86\Gravity\ROSE online\.."

Next you need to add the mod to the patchers list.

Open the launcher/patcher.
Click Settings > Plug-ins > New Plug-in > name your plug in whatever > click "enable" > type in the area called Plug-In Files "mod01.genfs" > apply > ok

Now you should be ready to test your first theme.

That, or you could be patient and see if you like the other colors I post? lol

Looks good, so I assume you and Genesis were able to trouble shoot the issues you were having, care to share what the problem was?

My test image was no longer in use by the client, hence it didn't update anything because it was non existent.

If you find error with the theme, or things that don't look right leave a comment detailing the problem and I'll add it to the list of fixes to do.

I did notice the map + and - buttons are square now instead of rounded.

Well that you just extract to check if you have genfs, clicking the color you want in the first post directs you to a link to download the file. Which should be a .genfs file.

Are the link all the same?
I download all the color and it has the same name gfstest.genfs.
and its not working for me. I followed the instruction.

They are all close but not the same, names are all the same though.

I already installed. same UI but the loading screen change. (GenFS loaded successfully with the 7 planets)
btw, there's no plugin on my settings.
do I have to Add new plugin?

I'd say you are on "Allow it to over-right the file if needed." so right click the file and go to properties and at the bottom there should be something like allow or unblock.

I've already unblocked the .genfs file. Still nothing change.
