The mid-TI map seems a little too crowded and has too many kill-stealing parties, especially rangers. There's more than one ranger going around camoed and ks-ing other peoples mobs. Are there still penalties for kill-stealing and should we bother reporting these?

man you guys need to stop complaining about ksers...everyone ks`. It can be the party or a single ranger almost everyone is too blame. They have more important things to deal with than Ksers at the moment.

What's odd about the lag is 1.0 doesn't get the stupid delay 2.0 does. Pretty sure the only lag I experienced today was effect lag since there was so much going on (simple /effect made the situation a lot better). I didn't get the character delays, though.
Could be a population difference, but there was still 5 guilds in brit4 today. Who knows. zzz

Maybe you don't remember when people actually *apologized* for accidentally ks-ing. That server will be missed. TI map is too small then.. pls fix.

Or block camo. You don't need it on that map anyway.

*edit* and actually no, not everybody kses. To their credit I've seen some rangers actually leave your mob alone. The ones do, you who know who they are, please give yourself a pat on the back :)

Some of the KSing might actually be accidental. But I'm sure some of it is just poor mannered players. Bigger map would make spawns really annoying to find even with gwings. Instead, I'd suggest changing the level ranges to 135-150, 120-135, 105-120 and 90-105. No more level share problems, killing two birds with one stone. However, there are certain timezones which do have fewer paeties and I'm not sure adding more ranges is a good idea. Perhaps the low range can be 80-105... who really needs turn ins to get to 80?

In the past, you can leech the low turn in monsters (no share party) using any AoE 3rd classes. But I dunno what happen when I'm going hiatus for 2-3 months and it just like finding dinosaur after I sleep for 100 years !! no one open pub in-game or sell those leech in forum, just wth happening after gramps giving custom map lol.... Real map TI was just better, high level use it for money leech and low level doesn't care about share exp...

I was leveling my ranger there (mid TI) tonight, it's nearly impossible to not KS someone while there. The amount of people + parties made it too much of a pain to see what was hitting who. I usually said sorry when I ksed on Ygg, but not really gonna do that here - even though I feel bad being that person, I am not doing it on purpose.

Anyways, it's not like it really matters, there is tons of mobs if you gwing/fwing. :p_smile:

Don't forget the opportunistic wizzies that loves to KS when I am solo tanking a group of mobs, really love that >_> Low TI has great monsters and a great map, but it's very hard to find mobs there due to the amount of people in the map. Despite the number of people, it's not a walk in the park to join a party because I don't fall into the AOE/Healer class. Thankfully, this TI is easier to solo compared to last week's.

Can't wait to 99/70 my mastersmith, then I'll take a break from TIs! :pif:

p.s. I miss Ygg server ._.

I had this problem too. The support team told me to "just keep trying." I managed to fix (?) it by leading the party with an alt, it bugged, then passed lead to my main character. For some reason it worked after that.

Also please don't disable costumes during WoE... hiding my headgear is one of the main reasons I bothered to get a costume at all.

Hazy bug, sounds like the ET bug. In which case when it cancels out your waiting priority, you just keep trying until it lets you in... I had one ET group that had to re-reserve around 5+ times and another that only took 2-3 tries. Kind of annoying but atleast not completely bugged. x_x

I am pushing for us to do as much as possible for the WoE situation from here as I realize that people aren't going to want to stick around of the latency continues as it has.

Changing out/more hardware is not the magic bullet for the problem we've been experiencing, as these are much higher spec machines that the woe maps have been placed on and the maps balanced on these servers in a way to get the most bang for our buck.

Oda I really believe you are overlooking something or missing something that is going on due to the focus being on WoE. I would imagine the latency in WoE is greater then anywhere else due to the amount of people & skills being used at one time but the fact is that the latency issue is everywhere. It doesn't matter whether or not it's only ONE person on a map using NO skills at all. There is still a problem. I will be all alone trying to battle a monster & there will be times where I can't move and/or attack for a period or time.

Just got a annual pass for the first time this year and definitely on a quest to make them regret having sold it to me. The office is pretty close to Anaheim, so it's fun to go before Tuesday's shift and get on a ride or two.

*laughing* you are going to be stalked by the many passholders that play Iro. I expect to see you on the star tours ride!!! because we all know you are the rebel spy! you need to post your score from Buzz Lightyears Astro Blasters~

Do a tracert, try lowerping beta, make sure you're not torrenting etc, cause that sounds more like an individual issue.

Huh? tracert to where & I'm not torrenting. I tried to explain I have no delays from my Network providers end until it attempts to connect to their server.

I very seriously doubt I am the only one. There is a well know latency issue. There always has been. Most people are aware of this. Many people experience various problems because of it that range from gap errors or time outs, disconnects, & good ole lags themselves. Why else are there so many other people that complain about eden & how bad it is there. If you don't experience any of these problems then you are one of the lucky ones.

I have am fortunate to have a very good Internet Provider (Verizon FIOS) & I live in the US. I also have about the highest connection speed there is. So I seriously doubts it's just me especially when this problem didn't exist until they began having server problems :xd

You are mixing issues up.

Anyway, a tracert is a function that lets you target a destination IP (gravity's server) and it shows you how long it takes to make each hop on the way to that server. (a hop being essentially a major router somewhere in the country). You're looking for where the delays start to see who's hardware is delaying you. It is often times the ISP gravity uses, their hardware in california seems to be the culprit a lot over the years (there must not be any good business ISPs out there?)

The lag in eden is a client issue (it doesn't use direct X so graphical layering causes a lot of staggered re-draw). As far as I know. It's not latency.

Disconnects on classic are due to a character select server issue Gravity had (software wise) I don't know if they fixed it.

Lag spikes in PVM are probably a latency issue, and you should do a trace route (tracert in cmd).

Your personal ISP is not really going to improve your connectivity to RO if the delay happens in California. Think of it, like you live in one city, but work in another. And in the commute you need to cross a bridge/tunnel with massive backed up traffic. The Roads in your city or the destination cty can both be awesome and everyone can fly around those streets quickly, but your commute is hella slow because of that road between the two cities. A trace route pinpoints that tunnel/bridge as the problem. A program like lowerping finds you an alternate route where you skip that bridge.
