Hello everyone!

Obviously it is about time to bring back RRE, floptop and I are going to be working together to get RRE back up as fast as we can with as little bugs as possible. I want to let everyone know that this will not be instant but we will be working on it as we go.

Project Team:
  • Crutomic
  • floptop

Want to join the team? Please send me a private message with a bit of information regarding your coding/graphics or whatever useful information you think you can give me. -_-

Do you have any coding experience?

What language? C++?

More than likely, I was messing around in C# just for the hell of it.

Not sure what I want to mess with yet. :P

It is a form that I would accept, but you had just stated that you are unable to use it and it would be pretty useless to me at this point, unfortunately.

Wouldn't it be pointless to have people that are experienced in other languages to try and help you with a c++ or c# project? I personally code in VB and know for a fact that it will be nearly impossible for me to code in another language as they are all so different. You may want to decide on a language and then ask for help.

Just my opinion

The main reason for me asking was so that I can/could get people to work on things that will help this project move a bit faster, I know most languages and it isn't hard for me to switch it up if need be.

My main concern is getting this back up and running, but I understand what you mean. -_-

I don't want to discourage you, but I don't think you realize the knowledge and resources required to make this project work. To make the project work at all, you will need the following:

1) A C++ or C# Programmer, C++ is preferable since the game client is developed in that language and will be easier to relate to internal memory structures compared to C#. Other languages may be possible to achieve the same outcome, but the work involved would likely be more.

2) Someone who is very proficient with a debugger and disassembler, with some experience in Assembly language. The largest portion of RRE revolves around reverse engineering the client to gain an understanding of how and when specific parts of the application are handled, which are eventually hooked into by your application and has its functionality altered to your liking.

Good luck with your project, I'm interested in seeing what you come up with.

This is very good news to hear and I wish you luck.
Rescudo was a downright genius, so this will not be an easy task. Hope it goes well.

I pretty much came to that conclusion, working on the project as we speak and got a good amount of work done on it.

As for the reason I am asking for programmers with experience is because there are many people that can include their experience and help more than what they expect. One brain won't work as well without the five that could help.

This is very good news to hear and I wish you luck.

Nothing is easy when it comes to programming, there is always something standing in your way. Lol. :P

Mostly trying to avoid this but there will obviously be road bumps along the way, I will continue doing it as long as I can. -_-

If Rescudo ever did come back and had asked me to stop my project due to continuing his, I would simply do so.

He is a much better programmer than I am and I am still going to school for it, so I have much to learn and I will honestly admit that. :(

Ever thought about asking me for permission to use my artwork in RRE though? I'm not saying I disapprove your usage of my content but I would check up in stuff like that before starting a project like this. If you succeed at this I would at least expect a credit on my side for the graphics included in RRE (Icon, Logo, Splash).

If I get credits for that go on and use it. Good luck on your project. (I have notified Rescudo about this as well. He doesn't care apparently.)

Oh, you talked to him?
Did he move to a different game? or did he just stop playing in general?
