Sup guys.
I finished downloading the client a few minutes ago, and when I tried to run it, I got this error:

It's in portuguese, but translating to english, it's be something like this:
This installing package can't be open. Talk to the people who made this package to verify if this is a valid Windows Installer package.
I tried PMing Hastur and I posted this on another thread, but I got no answers. My friend is getting the same problem, and he already gave up of Phase 1. BUT I WON'TTTTT. I wanna play QQ

Any help?

Greetings!

From the looks of things, the problem you're running into is due to the OS you're running. I think it's XP maybe? If so, then you'll need to install a fix to patch the Windows Installer on your computer. Please follow the following link, then download and apply the appropriate patch for the version of Windows you're using.

http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en

After installing this fix to your Windows Installer, then try to install the Dragon Saga Client again. If you continue to experience problems, please let us know and we'll do what we can to help out.

Thank you,

I redownloaded the client and tried running it. It's been 10 minutes that it is on "Preparing to install..." window.

Greetings,

Have you tried the suggestion that I posted earlier? If not, please try to install the update to your Windows Installer so that .msi files can be properly used on your system.

If you continue to experience issues, feel free to let us know and we'll do what we can to assist.

So, I updated the Windows Installer and reseted my PC.
The installer opened pretty fast, like as soon as I double clicked on it. But it's been on "Preparing to install" for a long time now.
Basically, the same thing as before updating, but it opened faster now.

EDIT: Just noticed that I posted this thread on the Bug Reporting section. Can a mod move this to the Support section?

EDIT 2: Another thing, when I open the installer, it appears in portuguese, but after 1 minute, it goes to english. I don't know if this is relevant, but I'm kinda desperate. I never liked .msi files anyways.

The reason why it takes a while in the preparing to install phase is that the installer and Windows needs to confirm all the files within the installer. This is typically longer on Vista and Windows 7 machines. Just give it a little bit of time and it should install.

If you still have issues, feel free to let us know!
