Yes, helps you level solo. Get unique rewards not found else where.
No, if you party it's much faster to PT then quest.
There will be more rewards along the quest chain that will be even more unique but they're not released yet. Atleast finishing 1 chars quest chain will set you up to do the new quests faster when they do come out.

Why on earth would you want to follow the story line of a game?
Explore areas that don't have uber packed high experience mobs to AOE in a party?
Games are about rushing to max level, getting the best gear you can and standing around PvP areas bragging about how elite you are.
They're not about experiencing the gameplay, exploring new areas and actually understanding what the game creators had in mind for the people that play.
Why would you ask such a silly question? Everyone knows the answer!
/sarcasm.
Yes, they're worth doing. Are the rewards something you'll use for a long time? No not really, in fact some I can't use at all as a Raider but the storyline is there, and that's really what matters. I have done the quests every time I have played this game on every character and will continue to do so for as long as the game holds my attention.

I do find the story rather interesting, and I need something to do when I'm not in the mood to party up.

Do you want Arua, or Arua's Fairy?
