So, after 3 ~ 4 years away from RO I decided to go back to explore some of the several changes that were made during this time. After thinking for a while I chose to go with the official servers for the (supposed) stability and to help the game keep developing since I could probably put some money into it.
Well, after a few days playing (and getting completely lost due to all the changes) I reached level 40 and went to the Assassin job change quest. Everything was going fine until I passed the questions step and proceeded to the porings room. Guess what? The warp didn't appeared. I stayed on the room with the assassin girl for like 2 hours trying to make it work, a LOT of people arrived and kept trying to make it work, but it didn't.
I searched on these forums and found out that probably someone died and/or disconnected during this specific step of the quest, which made the game stop warping people into the room, and sugested to open a support ticket. So, I went and opened a support ticket only to find out that it could take up to two BUSINESS days to be answered! Now, after several hours, I logged into the game and it's still bugged!
How can Wap Portal, Gravity, or whatever company that is behind RO nowadays, expect that someone puts money into the official servers when they've fallen WAY behind the private ones? I mean, I play RO since the early beta, when neither Geffen nor Izlude existed, and I've NEVER seen a bug and a tech support this bad. On all the privates I've been to you could talk to one GM almost any time of the day (and night), and most of them were mantained by donations.
Come on guys, how can a company that's supposed to have employees and management offer a tech support worst than something run by "normal people" using donations?! It's just beyond me, I'm completely frustrated with this. It's not about this specific issue, but with the whole concept behind it. No wonder the private servers expanded a LOT duting the last years.
Anyway, the support ticket # is 271-18C65D2D-0103 in case anyone needs it.
Thank you.
