Party Share - Experience Boost
The amount of experience that is boosted from the size of party and level of party have been adjusted to help further compensate for the recent changes to party share.
The 'per party level' experience boost has been reduced to 2% (from 2.5% previously) so that at level 50, base experience of the monster will be doubled.
The 'per party member' experience boost has been increased to a 90% experience boost, per member after the second party member.

  • 2 Player Party, no party member bonus is applied.
  • 3 Player Party, 90% experience increase to the monster's base experience.
  • 4 Player Party, 180% experience increase to the monster's base experience.
  • 5 Player Party, 270% experience increase to the monster's base experience.
  • 6 Player Party, 360% experience increase to the monster's base experience.
Combined with the party level, the potential of experience returns the ability to receive a much larger amount of experience than prior to return and encourage party play.
The previous party member bonus was approximately 10% per party member (actual maximum was approximately 65%).

The change in party experience looks too big Leo. Let's make an example.

Party of 6, party lvl 50. Let's say we kill mobs that give a fixed amount of 100k experience.

With the party lvl, exp will be doubled, so 200k * 360% = 920k / 6 = 153.333 experience.per member

We end up getting even more exp than before the fix...I don't like this at all.

Should be 60% max per extra party member...240% with a party of 6...so that in the same example we would get 480k / 6 = 80k each, which sounds more reasonable.

What can I say...

yeah but think if you dont have party level and your just starting up

100k *360% 460k /6 = 76.6k which is less than the original 100k. so unless you have high party level it will be less of the original

And still u have to party for like 2 or more hours with horrible exp just to get 30% more exp at the end, awesoyawn.

Early levels, a party level 50 is quite difficult to achieve.
Most usually cap around the 25 region.

Not only that, but if you're levelling with a full party, there is only so much you can kill at certain areas due to how fast mobs respawn or how far they are spread out.
Gorge of silence is an example, where you can only kill so much before you run out of mobs to take out.

Yeah but what kind of party never lvls up?

Even if we assume a mid lvled party (lvl25) so 50% extra exp it's 150k*360%= 540k / 6 = 90k each and let's be honest...when you're able to aoe the Ruins' Spiders (lvl 21x) at lvl 170 it takes half an hour to get a max level party...

Too much exp once again...it's going to be even faster...

Yes, it's true at lower lvls this change is fine. But after lvl 100, when basically it comes down to 2 maps only (OT, Ruins) getting a lvl 50 party is too easy.

It's weird you announced 2 weeks for Enchanted box. Now it's just 10 days? I haven't even topped up some IM yet :v Ohh well yeah. I plan to top up but just for these boxes. I must visit my Math teacher lol.


I guess their 2 weeks = Monday - Friday :3 or better yet ill go back to math class to count how many days in a week xD :hmm:

Look at it this way.
For the end levels such as 220-230 for example you wouldn't need to use as many medals as prior to get that same rate in the early levels in comparison.
Which I think most are more than glad about.

Yah ruins help u get party level faster, but what about people that don't want to go pvp? getting lvl50 would take hours and when you finaly got it, you have to go.

I would rather go solo, and will have same exp gathered in the end, because i would not have to go thru bad exp at start just to compensate for it at the end. Also i can keep all the loot and don't have to worry about leechers or party thieves or lack of monster.

You're right Ben.

I'm just thinking...if their goal was to make lvling generally slower in the first place, this update goes in the opposite direction. I don't get it.

Maybe instead of 90-180-270-360 it could be 90-170-240-300. Decremental bonuses but still good.

I think you got this wrong.
You get 2% bonus per party level, so at level 50, you get 100% bonus, hence it is "doubled".
So it's just 100k * (360% + 100%) or 460%.

Makes sense...
For a starting party:
  • 2 persons:
    • at pt level 1 = 100% /2 = 50%
  • 3 persons:
    • at pt level 1 = (100% + 90%) /3 = 63.33%
  • 4 persons:
    • at pt level 1 = (100% + 180%) /4 = 70%
  • 5 persons:
    • at pt level 1 = (100% + 270%) / 5 = 74%
  • 6 persons:
    • at pt level 1 = (100% + 360%)% /6 = 76.67%
And then, when you max the party level:
  • 2 persons:
    • at pt level 50 = (100% + 100%)/2 = 100%
  • 3 persons:
    • at pt level 50 = (100% + 100% + 90%) /3 = 96.67%
  • 4 persons:
    • at pt level 50 = (100% + 100% + 180%) /4 = 95%
  • 5 persons:
    • at pt level 50 = (100% + 100% + 270%) / 5 = 94%
  • 6 persons:
    • at pt level 50 = (100% + 100% + 360%)% /6 = 93.33%

Basically, at start, parties go from 50% each to 77% each.
And at max party level, you get to the former glory of everyone getting the full monster exp from a single kill (but only at max party level).

Not bad.

This is before combat bonuses are applied for the active members and before experience medals, premium service and any equipment bonuses you might have going individually for yourself.

This is closer to the intended design originally envisioned, but with the compromise of returning the rate of experience that the community was missing. You will need to work to get the party level up to gain that extra bonus, but we've placed most of the bonuses in the size of the party so at a base rate, you will suffer less in the experience share while playing together.

Sorry the maintenance is taking so long. During the final testing state, we encountered an error that was preventing log in. It is currently being looked in to and I'll give an update soon as there is one.

Maintenance is going to run a little longer while we figure this out.

i think this is fair for both the people who want to lvl fast and those who dont. it gives the options of lvling faster with more people or using less people for less exp as far as the bonuses go. hopefully this will satisfy everyone now.
