So I've had quite a lot of fun and made quite good profits so far with this skill but I'm looking for confirmation on the following:

Upgrading a Lvl4 Weapon from +9 to +10 at an NPC = 10% success chance.
Upgrading the same weapon myself= 20% success chance. Or does it add 10% of the 10% original chance meaning it's just 11%? Personally I'm very strongly leaning towards the former seeing how easy it generally feels to +7/8 Lvl 3/4 Weapons, but can't hurt to ask either way.

I'm just sick of trying to +10 a TSOD with regular means, 6 tries so far, 4 boxes of enriched Ori to no avail. Yea I know statistically I shouldn't have made it yet anyway, still I'm used to being lucky with upgrades and this one is just not doing it for me. :)

Thanks in advance :p_love:

It's the first, but it only applies when using the Upgrade Weapon skill, which breaks item on fail. So it's probably not a good idea for +10ing stuff.

Well, for +10ing the cheaper +9 Weapons it certainly seems a lot better to me tbh.

Take the TSOD I'm working on: 10 tries (on avg) vs. 5 tries (on avg) if selfmade.
Can't find your upgrade calc atm. so I'll just go with my first-hand experience: 4 boxes of E.Ori for 5x +9 on it, got them in bulk at 110m/ea so 440m/5attempts= 88m per attempt at 10%.
The +7 items cost me (on average) somewhere around 40m to make myself. So adding the cost of a +7 to the 88m (on average) for +9-+10 brings it to 40m+88m=128m per attempt at 20%. Sure sounds better to me than the former, though of course my upgrading rates are mostly based on recent experiences and not backed by statistical data. :)

Thanks for answering though, I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. :)
