So I'm playing my archer chilling out a bit and during vega... I notice my aas is like 1/2 as fast as all the other people! IM LIKE WDF! Is there a way to fix it? Uhhh my specs are:

AMD athlon™ II X2 245 Processor 2.90GHz
3 GB ram
64-bit operating system

From here I think all windows 7 has the same path so... Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools
From there it shows like comp specs grades or something from 1.0-7.9 higher=better...

Component - What is rated - sub score

Processor: - calculations per second: - 6.4
Memory (RAM): - Memory operations per second: - 5.5
Graphics: Desktop performance for Windows Aero: - 4.1
Gaming graphics-: - 3D business and gaming graphics performance: - 5.3
Primary hard disk: - Disk data transfer rate: - 5.9

Okay, anything else needed just ask ill try to find -_-

Start > type in dxdiag > display tab. What's your graphics card?

Yes, and that would be why your AAS speed is slow. You'd want a discrete graphics card with at least 512 mb of vram to get fast AAS for most situations. You have an integrated chip, which is extremely bad, performance-wise.

It shouldn't cost you much, I'm currently using a $40 card (HD4670) which was on sale and it does the job np.
I used to get 120+ FPS pre-patch (stupid FPS cap!).
But if you're looking into gaming in general without any lag, you should look into getting a higher end card.

I suggest you have someone who actually knows what they're doing to switch your computer parts.

Well when I play, AAS is slower on my laptop but my laptop has better spec gamming spec than my desktop. My laptop use a wifi connection too so i thought it was slower because of that.

Laptop parts seem slower in general in comparison to desktop parts.

I don't know if this will help but I'll put it out there. Since you're running the 245, you have a socket AM3, which means your motherboard might be pretty able to upgrade stuff. Check if you can do SLI or CrossFire. According to my cousin, SLI/CFX helps increase FPS for high resolution games. If not then go for like a decent card. N.B.: only get two cards if u CAN SLI or CFX

The sky is the limit! Get a new motherboard, get a new case (I recommend ANTEC 300) and a good HSF (Zalman is a good brand I stick by.).

You'll see my suggestions are more geared toward a better processor. IMO I think the main processor has more to do with AAS calculations than Graphics cards, but Yurai is right in your case, your Graphics card isn't good.

Anyways hope this clears things up. Cheers!

There sort of is. You can have the fastest AAS in the world but if you lag it would still only hit them a few times, even though it shows on your screen you're hitting them 349023840294 times for 0 damage. In reality it's only a few shots on other people screen.

^ I LEARNED THAT FROM EXPERIENCE NO LIE. I was AASing someone for like 5 seconds then my friend said "lol 1 shot." =(

edit: Well, it doesn't affect your AAS speed but it does affect if it hits or not!

I believe this is the case as well, not just for AAS, but for frame rate in general. I have my gpu clocks set at 750/1000 and I messed around with just the cpu multipliers. With throttlestop, I forced a 10x multiplier at 132.98 MHz and had an fps of around 25 fps in a crowded area of port of winds with some graphic options on high. After changing it to the 20x multiplier at 132.98 MHz, my fps shot up to around 50, which is double what it was previously. I also know people who have much better processors than me, but a worse graphics card, yet still have the same or better fps than me. However, I can't be certain on the 2nd one since we are cross comparing laptops and desktops.

Yah Laptops have so many limitations do to their size and energy constraints...Hard to say.

EDIT: REMOVED INANE QUESTION!

Just a tip: lowest quality and F10 for faster AAS <_<

Even though Graphics Card upgrade is more relevant, but it helps along with it

I suggest you wait for the start of Phase 2 and try out an archer. Then you'll find your answer.
