I currently have a GoH sura and haven't been playing it well over two weeks. What small or even huge things makes someone improve to be an above average player. I've never played this class to a good degree of skill and new to renewal

WoE with it regulary; the build shoudn't be a problem as everyone's builds are quite similar anyways (standard goh)

because practicing has potential to make you play better?

what i didn't want to say was to simply stuff your character with godly/leet/mini-boss/mvp gear and calling that an "improvement".

some of the things that you would have probably come up on your own with regular practice:
- organize hotkeys; keep gear close to each other; try /q2 command (i really dont use /q1 as i use right click a lot to turn the screen/cancel cast) for quick switching, or even for hp/sp pots (note this scrolling feature will not work if you have a targetable skill selected - must use/cancel skill targetting first) - means you should try to q2 scroll in between skill usage (such as in between snaps) - speed and timing will get better with practice.
- should keep your aggressive skill keys within easy reach (zen, fury, rising dragon, snap, goh, asura, cursed circle, hide, spirit sphere absorb, power absorb, windmill)
- set up right next to the essential support skills: ruwach, pneuma, gentle-touch cure, earth shaker, tiger cannon, root; try to setup so your gear switch hotkeys are also near your main keys (usually switch between kvm fist, kvm mace, vellum claw); maybe have carga (ak/kingbird) replace the claw in when in pvm
- your buffs (bless, agi, heal) can be somewhere farther from your reach as you will probably use them together once every few minutes; just group them together
- even farther (if you bother to hotkey these) would be mental strength (used only for tanking purposes), or RPS (for fun knockback; doesnt apply in WoE)
- hotkey both lvl 10 and lvl 4 goh (the later is melee version to bypass pneuma, defending aura,
- save a few hotkey slots for speed potions; large pots(ex. woe violet pot, ygg seed/berry, ale, etc), maybe even 1-2 converters (convert when you goh to bypass garment (especially DR users) - note this does not endow your goh - it is still neutral so GR reduction would still apply) - and the rest of your gear switch keys (armor/accessory)
- get some agi if you haven't yet (not high agi - base 40-60 is enough to reach 175~185ish aspd) - this can make you snap faster, and chain skills faster (less animation delay); also adds resistance to status/masquerades
- again, woe regularly - so when you see some effective maneuvers/tactics done by others, you can mimic/adapt or even think of a counter for those; improve action/reaction time

these are just some; there a lot more than this list, you could probably figure some of the rest on your own.

It seems people don't get gratification playing a sura or nobody gives them there respect. That's why wanna know what I can do to stand out and not be considered average

to really really really stand out would be to know what exactly you are doing, and at the same time,(unfortunately) being really decked out on gears for damage, survivability
sura is a damage class (besides having a nice AoE disable, cursed circle) - which is why weapons factor a lot; survivability from good reducs means you get to live longer or avoid being 1-shot and be able to retaliate or keep on killing. honestly, a sura who knows how to play the class, gear switch, and at the same time wearing kvm-mace/vellum-claw/gr/dr/bryn/cranial/megs/high-upgrade CEB/immuneshield/turkeyonhead/blah blah, etc, etc simply has a better chance at being competitive. playing sura isn't rocket science at all, but it doesn't mean you can get out of being average without spending some time actually playing it; sure u can PvP 24/7 too, i just personally prefer WoE mechanics

rather than to stand out, i think being a team player would be better though; try not to go solo-wild-rampage (lol - considering shura means carnage/bloodbath); also try to cursed circle as much as you can at crucial points during siege; your team mates will appreciate it (alternate with windmill). try to use spirit sphere absorb, windmill, power absorb (try to make this unpredictable/surprise absorb otherwise you might be toast if the enemy reads you), decrease agi, pneuma, as much as you need to, these skills are great (as much as the attack skills themselves).

as far as the nature of the class itself (monk>champion>shura), personally it's what's keeping me play ragnarok - i couldn't really imagine maining another class
i know several players have multiple suras, including me - multiple weekly ET runs + i like to have a ka one besides goh; it's really the concept of the class that's appealing for me at least.

Work well with your teammates and don't just try and kill everything. A well placed cursed circle is a million times more effective than killing a person here and there with GOH. If I started playing my sura in WoE again I'd just drop most of my dex and keep high agi/str/vit/some luk/int for resists and just go for well placed fast cursed circles with snap and wear maximum reduction gear.

learn to chain your skills. Most Suras forget they have earth shaker and just use ruwach. Using ruwach is actually a big commitment as it prevents you from using your hide clip, if you utilize earth shaker properly you can reveal hidden enemies for an easy CC.

This is why I never hotkeyed ruwach and used a sight accessory. Removing the sight accessory(and putting hide on) INSTANTLY cancels sight even though the animation continues.

I ran out of hotkeys like a year ago, and as I continue to better my gear, I have to find more and more keys to remove in order to hotkey my gear switches.

you can guess which skills/items/gears are most important, but if you really have to, just keep track of how often you use those on a typical scenario; rank them of importance; hotkey the most used closer, the least used farther; also group the same type (ie. gear hotkeys next to each other); you can even group the skills based on whether they are attack, support, or buff - whatever makes it comfortable for you so you don't strain your hands/fingers or something.
yeah, i wish there was a fifth bar of keys
