There is no sub forum / section for Ragnarok Online 2 as of yet,
I made this thread out of enjoyment to the game and community,
Hopefully by making this thread we can see the community come together,
and share there ideas with one another.

Also would be nice to know how much GMs here have control over RO2, some things that are in iRO are completely different or gone entirely in other versions for different countries. The game may be very different or only slightly depending on how much room they have. I am also looking forward to the OBT here which will be hopefully soon, the lag in SEA is terrible outside of the country.

Didn't really care for it, played a few hours, same mindless quests that every 3d mmo has. Skills are too similar and have no really effect on battle. Early game it takes WAY too long to kill things. Can spend 1-2 minutes per basic monster, get barely any experience from them. Armor you acquire is virtually identical to armor your wearing, had to watch my avatar equip and unequip items to even see the subtle change in tone of the color of my armor. I read through all the features of the game, seemed pretty promising, just couldn't maintain interest long enough to explore any of. As a an archer creatures could hit me from a distance because of lag, was obnoxious. Inventory had a very limited number of slots which is so damn annoying......
The game isn't completely hopeless. Music is gorgeous and soothing, environments were beautiful. That's about it.

Just wait for them to open the sub-forums in April if you want real discussions.

i was wondering, why did it take so long for them to release RO2 ?
i thought RO2 came out in Korea long long time ago?

RO2 (2.0) actually came out in Korea just last year so we're getting ours pretty quickly by Gravity standards.

I'm guessing the reason it took so long for it to come out here was due to translation of the game into English. There's not a lot in the game right now, but it's big enough to warrant the long translation period. Pretty sure some parts of it will be rushed considering the whole debacle with Asiasoft.

I was wondering about this too..will it be just like RO where kRO will be pulling the strings ? or Will iRO finally has its own way ??

Translation usually takes awhile, I mean they probably had to do new voices as well.

I hope they show a bit more care than they did with Requiem Online. It would suck to have 2 toxic communities on the forum. I don't think there is a big enough English audience to warrant a full English voice over. I am guessing its going to be subtitled. The Japanese version sure, but it might be too expensive for an English version.

The one thing gravity has been consistently good with is their music. I'm going to download RO2, jack the bgm folder, and delete the rest of RO2 from my computer.

You're not going to be pleased... at least half the RO2 tracks were made to sound like they were recorded in an aviary. xD
