For the first time ever I decided to get a full support cleric.
I am currently at level 177and have only been adding to int so far, nothing else.
I've maxed out all the Skill Points on the buffs, and have learned all the IM skills for buffs (additionaly with the wand blessings, but never had enough for the passives; Darn Clerics cost too much!).

I've just read though that I could re-set my skills, and keep the IM buffs, meaning I do not need to spend the Skill Points on the buffs (other than blessed mind), and could spend them on other things.

Obviously it's a bit annoying that you can't buff other people without the standard ones, unless they are group or partied (and if you are in a group or party already it's inconvieniant).

However, I am wonderingwhether it's actually worth doing anyway?
I mean... As a support cleric, you're all int anyway, apart from whatever else you add at the end (dex?), so is it really worth trying to add skill points to attacking skills? You are practically glass anyway...

Does anyone have any experience with this?

For full support, you have to choose whether to be a def build or dodge [or hybrid ofc]. For the skills, you have to get the stun tree to protect yourself from some pvp circumstances then mute.

If you plan on supporting in CD, I suggest you get IM buffs. Although it costs a bit much, I would use the extra skill points from reset to use on passives that will increase your defense and help you survive longer. Stuns, such as an AOE stun, is pretty useful if you are against a group of other people, like in wars or CD.

Most clerics I know are not full int, but rather a mix of int, dex, str. However, I do know several clerics who are really successful in war and they have full int, and the rest distributed in STR and DEX. As claw68 mentioned, you choose def or dodge or hybrid. I find that a build focusing on one stat, but also adding a little to the other works great for me. For example, if you happen to choose DEF build, you would add more STR than DEX, but also add a little DEX if you wish. & vice versa if you choose the dodge build. The build is entirely up to you, but DEX and STR would be your defensive stats. Make sure you have AT LEAST 333 BASE INT to hold the level 200 wands. You may max it if you wish.

INT is used to better buffs and heals, which is important. However if you plan on participating in wars, STR and DEX are significant also. You will need them so you don't die within several hits.

So overall...
INT for better buffs and heals.
DEX/STR for dodge/defense (depending on which one you choose)
Extra skill points can be used for skills such as passives/stuns to help in wars.

That's about it. Feel free to ask any questions. ^_^

Thank you both for the advise, I think I need to experience CD or PVP first hand as a cleric just to truely understand what I need to tweak. I am concerned that max int is not a requirement though, that's all I've been going with and I'm now lvl 181, so fast approaching max base stat, well over 333.

Yeah, I agree you should try it out first. Just play around and see what you prefer.

Max int is not a requirement. Usually, clerics have max int if they are used as a side character of a player with another main character, for only buffs outside of battle (sorry if this is a bit confusing.)
They don't usually enter the battles themselves, nor are they involved in action of any battle. That is the norm for a max int cleric. Those who actually play clerics as their main character in battle don't usually have max int. There are some that do, however. But see what you prefer! Besides, you can always re-stat via skill reset books or the mayor if you didn't get a free reset from him yet. Take note that the mayor reset will not give you a reset book, but rather reset you right on the spot once you click it.

Thank you for your time, I think I'll probably reset my cleric once they reach max level, I guess. :-)

I can now say with some experience that it is deffinately worth resetting your skills if you have all the IM cleric skills, and that even if you don't play CD, just to allow them to have a better surviveablity.
The amount you save is ridonkulous and you can put them to very good use.

you can still have max int and have good defense and/or dodge in CD. stats like str and dex won't contribute as much as sub stats that actually give you dodge/defense (60/40, 50/40 etc). although, i think dex gives you more dodge than str gives you defense but i'm not sure. personally, i think having a good amount of int in CD is useful. the more you can heal while maintaining a decent amount of def/dodge, the better it is for your team. good luck!
