still not a warlock. ive been in the 90s for about a month now (i believe i was lvl 93 when i first posted this thread). Ive been level 98 for the last 3 days. Tried to get 99 today but i lost my entire job level 3 times then ragequit. Seems that it takes MUCH longer to get from each level 96-99 then it does 99-100 and beyond (my lvl 100 ranger gained 6 base levels in 1 night).
This current low ti isnt helping either. Its the worst exp week ive ever seen in Low TIs. 2 hours for 3%. The map is too big and there arnt enough spawns. Tried doing board quests and only got 1% each turn in. At this point, ive completely given up on this character and made an assassin thats already outleveled her lol
Let this be a warning to any people on free accounts thinking about making a warlock. Its not worth it except as a merit badge farmer

Yes it's possible I remember partying with a non VIP highwiz and he got to 99 at that turn in. It's a different TI tho...but no use complaining, just the fact that we can do turn ins is nice.
Warlocks have the worst HP in all the classes (correct me if I'm wrong?) but that challenge is really fun
And IMO, comodo dungeon? According to experience it's a nice map...with spawns... GL~

Wearing a proper reduction shield is as good as you can. BB does hitlock to you, meaning that u need to spam SW a lil bit, and Fnova/SG1 it.
SG1 in a group, Fnova if got mobbed/solo/got hitlock.
And remember, BB is much stronger than Skel DPS wise, so, you might want to aim them with SG10 in SAFETY WALL when those BB mobbing ur tank.
and remember, DON'T TANK THE DAMAGE. Bwing out if u got in twouble.

hmm probably time to rethink back on your equips too then?

I use a staff of destruction, so i cant equip a shield. Making the good wizard weapons 2handed was the stupidest thing that gravity has ever done (on a long list of stupid). It gives us no leeway for damage resist other then a raydric garment. I cant even imagine trying to MVP on a warlock. Just the very idea sends me into a hysterical laughing fit

All you need is some really good survival skills (potting like there's no tomorrow, SW, FN, SG over yourself when under attack, etc) and a good party. I know you can't really choose your party members in low TI, but do try to analyze the members. I for one only choose parties I know are led by people who actually care for the whole party, not just themselves.
Go level to be Warlock, our skills are fun!!!

So, first thing is, you need to do some simple calculations and researches. One is, to check what monster's race and elements before you even dive to the map. E.g. here is those Low TI monsters, Bloody Butterfly> http://db.irowiki.or...ster-info/1408/ , Skel Prisoner, http://db.irowiki.or...ster-info/1196/
Again, the problem here is that BB does the most DPS than SP though SP does hit quite hard, so you gotta have to stack resistance a bit to them. I would recommend shield (Stone Buckler + Bigfoot card = 30% Insect race Resistance = less than 1m). With your 20% Raydric resistance, you have 20% neutral atk + 30% race resistance to the BB, which should reduce bit of damage. By this, you have to change your SoD to TSOD or any good 1h staff. Again, surviving is more important than doing the damage (in fact, with regular TSOD you can already kill lots of them with SG7~10).
For the skills, yes, SW AND EC (forgot to mention that in my last reply). I don't know how much I would need to exaggerate on this since EC is your 1st lifesaver aside from SW and FN, and most of us tends to forget about this (unless he really does know what to do and survive without his EC on).
Always SW first whenever you feeling you going to get mobbed by those monsters, in this case, always SW whenever you over step forward than the party. If you do runout of BGems fast, workaround here is that you gotta have to skill switch in your hotkeys. FN10, SG1, SG5, SG8, SG10, LoV1, LoV5, Lov10 until you are confident to change and stick to easier skill sets. What I'm trying to relate here is that by having a handful of skills, there are much option and flexibility to react to any situation you might expect. FN/SG1 if in danger, SG10 if you can pull it without receiving any damage, SG5~8/LoV5~10 depending on your casting speed. You might want to add Quagmire5 to help slowing the DPS of them monster, and kiting them.
Ahh I would really love to have you learn about vertical firewall too. It wouldn't be so essential in TI party since counts more important than buncha skills (which is quite umm bad I think), but in PVM maps, its also the one that gonna protect you long before the monster even reach to you.
And regarding to your thinking that Warlock can do MVP killing, the answer is NO. (unless its low tier MVP if you really bother to MVP anyway)
PS: If you would really love to have your SoD, just put it in the hotkey along with the 1h staff + shield. By that way, you can swap to any of them if you want more damage/survivability.
This just a tips from me for TI wizzies though (mostly based on my experience). Explore any of the options given to you if you see fit. Goodluck.

Mostly Fire based spells: Stapo map
Mostly SG10: Magmaring map
JT fun: Ice Dungeon
Soul Strikers: Glast Heim Churchyard
This is just a suggestion, again, do level anywhere where it have good exp (from your perspective)and enabled you to used most of your spells.

I'm willing to bet differently on this, just need some time to sort things out, I have something in mind

This was exactly why I never wear a 2h staff. I much prefer being able to wear a shield instead; sure, I might lose some 20% damage or so, but I'd rather have to cast 1 more time than take significantly more damage. And I play warlock very defensively with safety walls and quagmires everywhere.
