I want an incubus for the sp recovery and I was wondering if I should tame one or just buy an egg. As of right now the eggs are 30m and the tames are 2m. This means I would have to tame the incubus in 14 tames or less for it to be really worth it. Do you think this is plausible or would I be better off just buying the incubus already tamed?

Bonus question: Incubus give bonuses at any intimacy correct? Not just loyal?

i think u would get one b4 14 tries... but u have to get someone ot open geffenia for u and ugh alot of anoying stuff in there. also as far as i know they give u bonus after Neutral for sure, idk if they give it to you on akward or hate

Only pet I've ever had issues taming honestly. But doable. 30m for egg not impossible but a tad exensive. Tames about 3m ea, so you could probably catch one for half the price.

man i have always believed that they have to be low hp but someone told me they dont, is it proven by anyone if this is true

Make sure it is low hp. That means do like 24k damage. You have a very high chance to get it in 5 tames

Low HP is a common misconception. I would just buy it to be safe. There is no guarantee you'll catch it. Unless you feel risky, don't waste your tames. Personally I risk it all of nothing a lot of the time, but if you really want one, just buy it.

I'd just buy the egg as it's one of the best pets in the game. I think I used about 6 tames on one? But those tames were free from the Valentine event <3 Also they're quite hard to tame if you don't have a char that can survive in Geffenia well.

I've noticed that Succubus is a lot harder to tame as well. I've used like more than 10 compared to Incubus's 6. After getting Succubus, I just left Geffenia and never went back yet

I got 5 Incubus out of 11 tamings a couple weeks ago ... 50+ Succu tamings and still no egg.

Yeah,automatic Succubus kills for me everytime I see her now.Killed all the ones I couldn't tame and all the others I saw before I stopped with my chances.Spared everything else.

Back in the days of RO Empire forums, someone did a test with hundreds of taming attempts on many different types of monsters, with and without hitting monster to low hp.

Their data showed a significant improvement in taming rates if the monster was near death.

Yeah, there aren't many reasons not to lower hp before taming.

Best case scenario: It improves your chances!

Worst case scenario: Nothing happens ( I guess you could argue killing the monster is a risk but that's a risk of the process, not the outcome and unless its white lady or something, not a big deal.)
