Cart Cannon:

It seems that Neutral cannon balls can still be endowed with the old formula - Still forced Neutral+ additional endowment damage (not 100% endow)


Using an Elemental Cannon Ball (Holy/Dark/Ghost) the Cannon ball overrides the endowment of the weapon.

Do endows still work correctly otherwise?

Try this, also - get aspersio, and versus an Undead 4 element monster, compare damage with normal (not iron) cannon ball, and soul cannonball. Check whether the damage is anomalously high using the soul cannonball.

Ya, I will do some testing later tonight when I am off work. I was thinking to do exactly what you mentioned to see the diff - though I am happy it works, I will also need to test Dark/Holy Cannonballs

Blood Sucker is fixed, no longer bypasses plant defense. However, Using Bloodsucker, physical melee and any homon you can still do port malaya quests. I was able to do Buwaya only using homon. Bako should be fine, worried about Bangungot though

I'm much more worried about bakey than bangy. You're forgetting the constant meteor storm around bakey. Your homun will get rocked if it's not a dieter (which is fire ele).

Anyway... i'm wondering (and hoping) that we've gone from getting modifier for neutral and for current endow to getting modifier for cannon ball element and current endow :-P

CC TESTING:


CC vs. Frus = Dark elemental

Steel - 12k
Holy - 30-33k
Holy+wind converter - 30-33k

vs Plasma = Ghost

Steel - Miss
Stell Wind converted - Miss
Dark - 8k
Dark converted - 8k
Soul - 19k
Soul converted - 19k


Seems conversion has no effect, and is strictly based on the type of ball. More testing to come.

So.. Is CC endowable now or what? I was thinking on using Iron Cannon Balls (as I always do) and getting some converts and CC ghost mvps. Is that possible?

So basically if you want to hit ghost types you need to use a weaker ball? Otherwise you may as well just use converters on iron balls for bonus damage. :hmm:

Hey all. The initial test was RTE, though after talking to Azzy I did with HF as well.

Vs. Skeggiold (holy)

Dark Ball + HF(neutral) - 19-21k
Dark Ball + HF(Endowed-Wind) - 19-21k

As I can see it, CC is now STRICTLY taking cannon ball element. I will still need to test more though.

So.. Is CC endowable now or what? I was thinking on using Iron Cannon Balls (as I always do) and getting some converts and CC ghost mvps. Is that possible?


This was my initial thought as well, however, it seems only elemental cannon balls will hit ghosts. You will need Holy/Dark or Soul(Ghost) to hit a Ghost mob/MVP. My plan now is for straight Soul cannoning ESL/Beez/Thana until i get more info on a better work around

He means exactly what he said - I don't see how it's hard to understand (though he said it was forced neutral, which it is not, as jaye and myself have corrected people on ad nauseum)

neutral cannonballs behave exactly as they did before the patch, that is, they receive the elemental modifier for neutral in addition to the modifier for weapon element. Hence, you cannot hit ghost 3-4 mobs with them no matter what you do.

Elemental cannonballs (holy/dark/soul) force cart cannon to use that element, and you can hit ghost mobs with them. Endows will have no effect with elemental cannonballs.

The opposite actually. I was expecting it to be as you're thinking.

Though, the cannon ball MUST be Ghost/Dark/Holy to hit ghosts. Converters have NO influence on Elemental Cannon Balls.




Converters still effect Neutral Cannonballs, though not 100%. It's the same as it was before.

Yeah, with neutral cannonballs, endows work like they do on, well, every other well-behaved skill in the game (that is, weapon/equip attack is elemental, status attack is neutral). Except that the modifier for neutral is also applied to the entire damage.

With elemental cannonballs, though, it looks like the damage is forced entirely to the specified element. This is of course a good thing for us.

GREAT! And sorry Azzy, english isn't my native language.
Just tested CCing Nightmares on Geffen Dun 2. Hit 17-18k with Soul Cannon Balls and 24-25k with th same balls but with Pyroclastic on. Juicy! We can now fight agaisnt ghost mvps! In ET: ESL, Beelze and Naght Sieger.

Did some damage testing.

Elemental cannonballs are now CRAZY.

What's happening now is that the modifier for cannonball element is applied to the weapon attack, AND THEN AFTER ADDING THAT TO STATUS ATTACK THE ELEMENT MODIFIER IS APPLIED TO THE WHOLE THING!

I'm in the process of updating my genetic calc to account for this.
