I swap between:
Top:
+9 (or higher) KK carded Crown of Deceit
+9 Dark Ping Evil Marching hat
Abysmal Knight Helm

Mid (not useable with CoD):
Robo eyes
Slotted Mid with Dark ping card
BDM (haven't got one yet but planning to)

Bottom:
Pirate dagger
*not sure what else you could use

However, if you're on a budget, you could always go with Lord of the Dead Helm/Abysmal knight Helm, Robo eyes, pirate dagger/WCP/anything really.

Oh right, I forgot this was for MVPs only. If for MVPs only, High upgraded LotD helm would do more damage with AB.

I tend to use EMH more often for the CC damage boost/no damage penalty though.


Should try CoD with KK if you have strings and Spell/Spell enchanted RWC pendant though. Love the AB spam lol

KK CoD and other cast reduc gear = best for CC

They change their opinions every week on there and all of the stickied guides are wrong/outdated.

A friend told me LotDH does not work with AB, I haven't bothered spending the zeny to test myself, but it's what people generally seem to believe.

When it comes to MVPing, you'll find you need to switch headgears a lot depending on what you're fighting. My default is...

Evil Marching Hat [ Dark Pinguicula Card ]
Black Devil's Mask
Pirate Dagger

I oftentimes need to swap my mid-gear to gain status immunity/resistance.

LoTD+AK Card combo does not work. It is currently bugged.
Evil Marching Hat gives the greatest general output of AB damage.
Mid-gear best is Black Devil's Mask - alternative is Dark Ping Card, although it gives much less benefit than BDM.
If you want to fight against demon/undead, Witch Hat + Gozarian Mask gives the greatest output against them.
For survival, Abysmal Knight Helm+Elemental Reduction Cards are the best, since it's cheap and specific.
Low-gear is just Pirate Dagger. Or Ninja scroll if you want, but Pirate Daggers are so cheap now.
