The game itself always runs with admin privileges (unfortunately, the patcher doesn't automatically run as admin, which is why we have to tell people to manually run as admin), if you have windows UAC set to always notify, you will have to click through a UAC dialog when starting RO. This is correct behavior. You can adjust UAC settings to be less paranoid if you don't like this.
I've got no idea on the mouse's third button not working as enter - Could it be that the software you're using to set this functionality has an option to give different meaning to the mouse buttons depending on what app you're using, and when in RO, it's defaulting to a different profile - one for which you haven't configured anything? I know most gaming mouse software supports that option.

Post the relevant errors from your event log (which can be viewed using Event Viewer).

The mouse issue probably isn't fixable without a major client overhaul. It's well known that the handling of the mouse in RO is really really buggy (I've heard that there was an overhaul of the client implemented on kRO - this would likely fix your problem - but it hasn't reached iRO yet, and I don't even know which update it comes with). Things that interact with the mouse often don't work correctly on RO, and that's always been the case - there will be no fix until we get that client update.
Other than the mouse issue, what exactly about the behavior you're describing is the problem? What is the exact text of the error message you are receiving? I assumed it was a UAC dialog, which is expected behavior. If it's something other than that, I need to know the exact text of the error message, including what's shown at the top of it. A screenshot would be ideal.

It sounds like they got the client's publisher info wrong in latest client executable - lots of companies (including the one I work for) sell software where the client's publisher is listed as Unknown, though. I think there's a reason for this, but I don't know what it is.
The issue with having to tab out of the client and back in (you don't need to minimize - just alt+tab out and back in will fix it) is a known issue on all modern windows platforms - this is one of the examples of mouse problems with the RO client that I referred to above.
Different issue - please put it in a different thread. You are experiencing a gravity handler error, and this thread is describing an issue where no gravity handler error is shown.I am also having the same problems with my client and mouse. The client comes up as unknown publisher and needs me to confirm that I want to run the program (which it never asked me before last night's patch). The only error dialog I could get was when I try to open up a new client with one already running, the first one crashes and gives me this error:

So do the GM's want to explain WHY the client pulls up the admin launch whenever I click the game to start WITHOUT running as admin, and WHY it shows up as an unknown program? Also, would you care to explain WHY I can no longer use my mouse's additional button as an ENTER key when i MANAGE to start the game?
I posted in this thread because I am also having the same problems with my client and mouse as Alanthier as I had stated in the post before.

Yes, but someone else reporting a problem that involves getting a gravity error should post in a different topic, because then I have to separate out my replies to each person's problem.I WONT post in a different thread, because this IS the Tech support thread, I WILL mesh ALL of my current technical problems together and you will just have to deal with it. I pay to play quite often, and you need to respect that. I have every right to post all of the issues in one post because following x amount of posts at once gets VERY annoying.
Also - I am NOT a gravity employee. I'm a volunteer. I don't give a damn whether you pay or not, because I don't see any of that money you're paying. Your hostile attitude is frankly insulting, and not very appropriate for conversing with someone who is helping you for free on their own time!

I know there are better ways they could handle this (by designing the game so it didn't need to be run as admin), but the developers are apparently either unwilling or unable to achieve this. So they decided to force it to run as admin every time. They've made several attempts to get this behavior in the past, and it sounds like they've finally succeeded.

fine, I can live with running it as admin, that's not what really bothers me, it's the fact that I CAN'T run it as normal without doing admin as well as my mouse no longer allowing me to use my <-- --> keys as Enter or whatever else i decide to put. Having to manually click NEXT in npc chat is so annoyingI think they just tightened up the manifest to fix the issue where RO could be run without admin privileges - as we all know, running RO not-as-admin caused all sorts of issues. It looks like they've fixed it so it always runs as admin. Thus, the UAC prompt is expected and correct behavior.
