My Genetic just hit 101, His stat is 55str, 1agi, 60vit, 84int, 77dex.

I have a +4 Kingbird HF, and a +7 uncarded Red Twin Edge, a RWH, +7 Immune HBP, Shackle ball and variant.

The main problem I have is that I am supposed to be able to solo nogg2, because I have enough damage, but I have Lv 1 Homunculus Ressurrection. With 10k hp, I can't tank the mobs in nogg2, and Homunculus only have 20% of its hp every time it comes back from dying. Should I reset or just continue and try get my Homunculus Ressurrection to lv 5?

His job level is 14, I have maxed Cart Remodeling, Cart Cannon, and material exchange, with just Lv 1 Cart Boost. I have Material exchange just to get alcohol and make bombs with my high level biochem that has brewing stats.

The info you've given us to go off of is kind of thin but...

too much vit too early, too much dex too early, not enough str.


I assume you also have a phen, if you don't, that's why you're having trouble.

What does homun res have to do with nogg road, unless you have a dieter AND it is level 123+ for magma flow (in which case, you kinda do need homun res 5). But I gather your homun isn't level 123, or anything close to that. Just level it in OD2 like everyone else does, and don't bring it out on leveling, unless your homun is high enough level to be useful (which, again, I assume it is not) - unless it has Overed Boost, Painkiller, or Granitic armor already.

If you decide you need res 5 (I don't think you do, unless you have a dieter that you're going to level with magma flow in nogg 2), you should probably reset and get it with biochem points, not waste third job points on it.

You need to max cart boost next. What did you spend your 13th skill point on? I only count 12 genetic skills, but you're job 14, you should have level 2 cart boost now.

I think your problem tanking is that you're trying to use a 2handed weapon instead of an appropriately carded shield and a 1-handed weapon. But your 1handed weapon is not properly carded or upgraded.

Also - i see a shackle ball listed, but I also see variants. I would wear the variant if having trouble tanking, shackle set if not having trouble tanking. The added damage is nice, but not if you're already having trouble surviving.

See how it works with both water endowed iron cannonballs, and holy cannonballs (I don't know what is more important to kill - the holy balls do epic damage on the shadow stuff, while water endowed iron balls will work better on the fire stuff, but I forget which one needs to be killed faster).

Also, you should try to get into gramps turnin parties - those are a lot easier than soloing, and better exp as well.

Are you potting enough? You should expect to pot heavily while leveling.

Okay, first off. Thank you for giving me some attention, so I can get out of current situation.

I have an Orlean Gown with peco card. My Homunculus is a Lv 85 underdeveloped Vani, while other Vani does 400+ damage, mine does around 350, attack speed isn't high either.. I got a level on Change material, and now I have one skill point available.

I can One shot Deleters, with shackle balls and water endow, yet I can't one shot Nightmare Terros. If I switch off with holy cannon and no endow, I can one shot Nightmare Terrors, then I can't kill Deleters. Such an awkward situation.. I use a pumpkin hat to pot, is that bad?

I had such high Vit because I thought I will be able to solo low level places like an RK or Sura or Chaser, I have all three x.x Then I added such high dex because they say cast time of CC is depended on it, plus I thought a Rybio card would help a lot with I had 77 dex.. Should I reset?

Nogg monsters do hit hard and you'll want to have a shield for it. You could also try other places like Kobolds, Juperos, or Desert Wolves. Nightmare Terrors suck SP and are REALLY annoying when tanking several of them.

You can also try using a mace like Carga or enchanted Erde for Nogg, which may be able to one-shot Nightmare Terrors, whereas I don't think a triple AS twin edge can. This depends on your funds though and whether you are planning to make a good mace later on (see the genetic weapon discussion thread).

Cast time reduction equips will help like KK Crown of Deceit, RWC Pendants, and so on. These can get pretty expensive though.

Easiest is just to go do gramps TIs.

Don't worry about your vani, just level it in OD2 while semi-afk like everyone else does. Get it to 99 (and, if you don't know, DO NOT let it level anymore after it gets to 99 until you've changed it to homun S). Your vani's stats are fine, vani stats are ALWAYS fine.

You absolutely should be able to handle soloing nogg. If nogg is hard, juperos is out of the question (I did jup, but I had 2x meg and hammer and was burning over 500 ranked slims per hour with overall very good gear)

See, you didn't mention that you had a pumpkin hat. So you should be fine on the potting (unless you're being slow with pressing the button - be aware that you can pot way faster than the animation shows). Are you be

So your problem is that you don't have a shield. Get an appropriate shield, and card your twin edge so you can start using it. Put stat points into str and skill points into cart boost.

And do the gramps TI's too.

gramps TI this week is x2 exp. if youre not doing it, then youre only cheating yourself out of levels. Also the witch hat should be giving you 15% more damage against the nightmare terrors so you should focus your dmg on killing the harder hitting mobs (the petites hit pretty hard). Get yourself a bradium shield and throw in a card to protect yourself against whichever mob is hitting you harder.

Im using a Bradium shield with andre egg card for an extra +900 hp right now until i can afford to make 1 of every resist shield (gonna be expensive lol). Its good for leveling/survivability. I would love to know why you only have lvl 1 pet resurrection though. Are you trying to be MVP, PVP, or leveling build? I assume you gave up your pet res to get more Flora damage. Thats really only good for pvp ,which obviously isnt helping you atm since youre struggling.

I would save your free reset and just stick it out in TI this week to get to 110-115 easily (trust me, the exp is FAST even with a free account) and use all your points to boost your STR up. You really dont need the pet in TIs so youll be fine keeping him stashed away til you have time to afk level him.

Don't Have zeny right now. And what is items are decremented for leveling a Geneticist. I am unsure especially unsure about accessories. And I dont have RWC..

Okay, thank you so much for your help, Azzy, and Tofu.

I am doing better in nogg, I changed my gear to Variant, and +7 Carga with 2 Hunter Fly cards, and a shield against demons, I am currently looking for a Sky Petite shield, I think those hurts more, but I don't know yet. With holy cannon, I am still able 1 hot nightmares, which is a very good news.

I hope I can come up with the zeny for 3 Archer Skel cards later on.

o0o0o0o i assumed you had a triple AS carded weapon already. what i did to buy mine was buy the Blue twin sword instead of the red (blue is only 14m and works fine for leveling) to save myself a fortune until later when ill need the red for mvping (that extra 10 atk will make a dif on mvps) and a bradium shield with andre card in it (till i have all of the resist shields). I saved up eden badges and turned them into magic stones then sold those for 7m. I also did the quests for Bradium Brooch and Bradium Earring (that sell for 20-25m each). Also sold holiday quest items for alot of money (i accumulated 1000 green ales that i ended up making 20mil zeny selling)

you should also aim for getting a Medal of Honor accessory for more hp and damage. if you stacked 2 of them youd have +10% ATK/MATK and +1000 hp/120 sp until you can later afford an oblivion ring to swap out with one

the hunterfly cards you got are helping heal you, but if you kill fast with x3 AS, then you wont need to heal as often
