Could it simply be that it doesn't work for you when it's located inside program files?

UAC treats things in program files differently from things else where.

In those 100s hit-and-trial-errors, we learned that RO didn't work in program files, program files x86, desktop, or literally anywhere you wanted.

However, after having find the problem, though not fully, RO can be run anywhere as long as some file whcih is interfering with setup.exe isn't there.

I'm having major issues with this as well. Have been trying to resolve this for the past 2 weeks and no results. Tried doing the following that's above and no dice. I'm able to run RO2, and all other games with no issues. As a matter of fact, RO was working just fine until it updated 2 weeks ago and stopped working.


Can anyone chime in?

I had the exact same problem and i fix it by just deleting the file dbghelp.dll from de Ragnarok Online folder.
