We have European players play iRO even though they have their own euRO. Don't see why the same can't apply to iRO2.

I said the same thing when they posted the new thread on the iRO2 Facebook

Ph will blocked ryt?

Ph is owned by NA it shouldn't be IP block during or after beta, I swear its like you guys don't even know your government over there yes NA gave you your incandescence in 1946 but Ph is still part of NA territory. I don't know how many times it see that "is Ph going to be block?", yes it is in the SEA territory but its part of NA territory. I don't mean to be an a**hole about it but seriously you should know that PH is part of the NA territory.

the company makes it clear he does not want anyone in my playing nation, but to me it's a form of discrimination, anyway not harmed anyone (I say that for me) and I know very well how the BR community is treated in games, which completely generalized any player BR is bad or cause problems on the server, and not everyone is like that, people have to remember that before being a nation first and foremost we are all human beings, so that players like me BR's who know about it are never forced to take his nation into games knowing that they will be discriminated by society present there.

Brazilians have had plenty of MMO servers, even for giant, popular games such as WoW. I would not like to believe one of the reasons for game companies to divide up regions in such way was based on the view of stereotypical Brazilian players. Game servers could be prepared for a general population of players who share a common language. One other reason could simply be that Brazil is a large enough nation to have their own server(s). I'm not stating that all games should separate Brazil from rest of the world when it comes MMO gaming, but just something else to consider as possibility for reasons whenever they do the division.

I cannot speak for everyone, but my views for Brazilian online players (and as well PH or other nations with bad reputation in MMO gaming) have been changed dramatically for the past decade or so. I feel that those players have been changing, too. There were a lot of misunderstandings when playing with each other. There were gaps in culture. Sometimes they intended for an unharmful gesture but was misinterpreted in the another way, which was also unfortunate. I had some great buddies who were Brazilians, and they frowned upon this issue as well. We all believed half of these problems were caused by misunderstandings. Those people who hacked, cheated, kill-stole, ninja-looted, trolled around and acted childish in general...well, every corner of earth had those, and were not limited to specific nations.

It would have been great if Filipino and Brazilian players could join here. Since this game is dungeon/raiding based, I can see a lot of players are going to be constantly needed to fullfill all timezones. Filipino players can group up with Australian players, and Brazilian players can group up with NA or EU players.

Decided to sign up to explain this for the slower ones who simply doesn't know about partnership and distribution. It's so simple really.

"Copyright © 2002-2013 Gravity Corp. & Lee Myoungjin. Copyright © 2002-2013 Gravity Europe SAS. All Rights Reserved "

"Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the second, is the sequel of the famous MMORPG Ragnarok Online distributed by Gravity Europe.
http://ragnarokonline2.eu/

Ok, so from these quotes i found via EUro2's webpage+the video it links to, the EU version is hosted by Gravity Europe. See something familiar with who's hosting it?

Next.

Warpportal=Gravity US. It's simply Gravity's NA distribution platform. You might aswell call
it Gravity US instead of Warpportal.

See what am i getting at here?

Subsidiaries

Gravity owns a number of subsidiary companies, which publish and develop its games in countries and regions around the world.

*Gravity Interactive publishes games in North America. It was established in March, 2003, and is based in Marina del Rey, California.[17]
Gravity CIS, Inc. publishes games in Russia and CIS countries. It was established in 2005 and is based in Moscow, Russia.[18]
Gravity Europe SAS publishes games in Europe. It was established in September, 2006, and is based in Paris, France.[19]
Neo Cyon, Inc., established in 2000, develops and publishes mobile games and MMORPGs. It was acquired by Gravity in 2005.[20][21]
Triggersoft, which created ROSE Online, was acquired by Gravity in 2005. It was liquidated in 2007.[22]

*warpportal
-source:Wikipedia.

It's the same bloody company, with it's subsdairy companies in respective regions, NA and EU.

Asiasoft is NOT(!) a subsdairy of Gravity corp Korea. Levelup games is NOT(!) a subsdairy of Gravity corp Korea. They do NOT have interchangable rights to host in the NA or EU regions.
They are seperate publishing companies who bought the rights from the company Gravity who has it's head officies located in South Korea.

But Gravity on the other hand, does. Because they hold rights for both regions via their mother company who is hosting RO2 themselves via their subsdairies (Warpportal and Gravity EU.)

Thus Warpportal can allow EU's to play, as much as the EU version http://ragnarokonline2.eu/ most likely won't block NA IPs.
(but really these EU versions of mmo's are usually just catering to those
who simply can't speak/type English, i.e, a large percentage of Germans and Frenchmen.
So there's almost 0 reason for NAs or English speaking EUs to play on their EU equivalent, unless it's to reduce latency.)

Lastly, i won't even be playing this game, but i felt i had to clear up the...mess people with low IQ set themselves up for. (There's this thing called a brain, located a few inch above your favorite pastime tool down south, use it. It's really remarkable once it gets working.)

I know, I know this topic has been beaten to death and I didn't want to make another thread about the same topic so...

On the Facebook fan page there's people saying that if your country is IP blocked to just use WTFast. Some people are saying that, that still can get you banned. Others are saying that it's okay.

Does anyone know if that is breaking Terms of Service or not? To me seems like it wouldn't be okay since they are IP blocked and are deliberately going around it, but then again I don't know much about how this stuff works.

I'm not actually concerned about being able to access the gameor not, neither to play or not.
1. There're plenty online games available to pick from
2. Honestly RO2 is not that 'good' once you play it, compared to other new mmorpg games? (Graphic, really?)

Reading through the posts in this thread made me realise although many quote 'mature' or 'maturity' players, many don't hold them really.
Remember online game is all about community, the bigger the merrier.

Now for those who don't know or realise, SEARO2 is a dying community in which has lead them to desperate events and promotions to get players back.
Also by having more diverse community my believe is we got more competition, do you really think people have interest in regional 'olympic' games?
There're reasons why international olympic is 'watchable' by many, and this is absolutely one.

I sincerely believe we should on contrary encourage WP to pick as many players as possible, as for me this is not an issue, as I could play any server 'legally' but again I would strongly hope bigger community to support the continuity of the game.

It's not like this game is 'gold' or something that SEA (PH or Indo) or even any other potential blocked regions want it so badly that they went 'suicidal' not getting one. The time difference itself will hold them to play the game on 'your' timeframe (unless you play 24hours a day). So get over it please!

Yes I have and no it's not close to suicidal at all (unless you're that lame to believe so)... Note the point of my post is for people who discourage the idea of open community, after all it's an online game... Translator? You might be the only guy who come to that impression. What have you been reading? Comic books? If you couldn't put your head around my post then you might want to improve your English (written and spoken) :D
