The difference is the amount of time needed to saturate the market with them, due to the ingredients needed.

Level 50 foods take so many ingredients. Just making screw fins was bad enough :/

Blacksmiths pull out an anvil when they're working, Artisans get a sewing table, so...

Why don't we get to pull out a stove or fire of some sort when we cook? :p_err:

Mantis Stew Ingredients, enough said.

I'm gonna make some IRL and feed people.

I'll write a report on the taste after.

As opposed to cold? Bugs can't generate their own heat so how would their pee be hot? Makes no sense.

By the way, bug urine looks way nastier than animal/people urine in real life.

Makes even less sense in that, What the heck would you use it for... Then again don't answer that. Ewww

Can you tell me exactly at which level I can buy new recipes? My job level is 9 and Pinoa keeps selling sauces

edit: the option suddenly appeared when I reached job level 10

The taste of the stew was rather sweet yet slightly bitter, like that of the aftertaste of strawberry mints and old lettuce just before it's burnt. The urine's texture is like that of a person passing liquidized warts over your skin.

Overall though, it wasn't bad.

I know I'm very late, but just this scene makes me want to make a chef. Just for that. Just for that song.

Okay, I think Gravity and WarpPortal just downright HATE Chefs or something. (Or have a hidden vendetta against Gordon Ramsey or some other chef.)

In RO1, they introduce cooking into the game and then turn around and offer packs of cooked foods in the Kafra Shop. And now here in RO2, they do the same thing by outright giving away our best recipe food as hourly rewards.

Why so much hate on cooks? :p_sad:

Well technically there are better recipes, but the scrolls to obtain them are pretty rare and... then you have to farm a specific boss in a long dungeon just to be able to cook them once. I've barely cooked anything since the hourly rewards went in.

Also RO1 cooking had ridiculous ingredient lists and high fail rates.

Cooking in RO2 feels like just a copy-paste of RO cooking without the success rates. Why can't we process other ingredients beside the core ingredients for cooking (i.e. turn Tough Meat into Tenderized Meat) so we can level Chef easily like the other professions? It just feels really unfair to make this profession so frickin' difficult to level.

There's still a steady demand for SFCs since not everyone plays for 3+ hours straight daily, but I don't bother with them anymore since they require too many mats to make for little profit. Selling SMRs is much more effective.

The magic skillet is awesome. Do not question the magic skilet.

I know right? They need to change the rewards to screw over the other jobs at some point too. Get more potions and some runes and runepunches in the mix or something.

That screw fin reward used to be a random normal card. I guess too many cards fluctuated cuz "maya" from AoD was apparently a normal (green) card so .... they changed it to something that'd totally kill chefs ;< I recently guardian runed to a chef for my boyfriend who's taking a break from the game like a week after i guardian runed D:<
