Open betas there arnt usually wipes but yah. Whens the official launch?

This a quick "open" closed beta. So of course there will be a wipe after this testing period.

Its what CLOSED beta test do when they are done, Most MMOs I have participated when they went Open Beta usually just carry over the character data to its official launch

Since Open Beta is pretty much the same with the official launch anyway - No more groundbreaking fixes and alterations are done in Open Beta

Yea, in my experience - CLOSED betas get wiped. OPEN betas, while receiving alot of server roll-backs and such in the process, do not wipe at official launch. Especially in the tradition of Gravity- i closed & open beta tested both ragnarok 1 and ROSE online, and both did not wipe at the end of open beta. However, the open betas for those games back then were hella long so x_x
I'd like to see some official word on this tho, cuz so far I personally havnt seen any postings from any of the team about it. Like usual, its a bunch of community members with their own theories and answers - and not everyone can be right, tho some ppl cant admit that =P
If anyone has a link to somewhere where it tells us, pls share ^_____^ So far, I am expecting nothing one way or the other !

To update myself : i did finally see a post they made on the RO2 facebook page. They state right there that the intention is indeed a full wipe at the end of the beta period. ( altho chars reaching lvl 10 will have the name reserved ) Then a period of time of no servers to tweak, and then release the official game. First time ive experienced a wipe for an open beta, but since they did skip the closed beta... /SHRUG.

Doesnt matter to me : whatever gets the job done =D
