We did open at noon, but as many of you could tell the server quickly hit a wall. This is great as it allows us to find that problem and fix it. But we do understand you wanted to get in and do a bit more before that happened. Don't worry we will have it up shortly and we can find the next challenge to overcome.

If all goes well by the end of this weekend the server will be fit and ready to rock!

I really don't think that you can give a timeline on something like that. Just check back every 15-30 minutes and pay attention to the updates...best we can do

I think he meant that the launch will be ready by then. The end of the weekend is in approximately 5 days, which is how long they said the beta will last. His original post says the server will be back up shortly.

Are you planning to remove HackShield from the client?

"Shortly" is a very relative term, but I do hope you are right.

What I mean is they should come out and say "we won't be opening the servers BEFORE xx:xx time".

They could push the time further back if they need to at that point, as long as people know it wont be open before a certain time, that would lend them some comfort to take care of other things.

That would give people time to do whatever they might need to.

I did read that, with the wording he used, that does not mean that it will be opened this weekend. It just means that the servers should be stable by this weekend. Doesn't mean it wont open today.
