I doubt we'd get it in that form on iRO, since it doesn't need to be upgraded in order to be better than everything else that needs +9, and gravity has set the price of the Vanargand helm as high as it has (even though it requires being upgraded to +9, which costs avg 700kp with enriched hammer, 2600kp without, plus the certs to get it +7), indicating that they are cognizant of how powerful these sort of SP-gain effects are (a +9 would be cost ~386m to make if using enriched hammer and prevailing exchange rates, and a whopping 610m with HD elu).

I decided to take the plunge and bought the Vanargand Helm, bought 10 boxes of HD elu, and using a couple extra headgear certs in storage.
BOOOOOOM!!!!
I only ended up using 5 certs and only 2 freaking super lucky HD elu LMAO!!!!
I'll post my findings with 10k arrows later tonite, after dinner and the hou/okc game
I got the hat yesterday, used only a few certs I already had, and 5 Enriched Elu and made it +9, my ONLY +9 anything in this game, since the Upgrade Gods hate me 99.999.% of the time XD

After testing the helm myself, I'd say the Rideword Hat beats out the Vanargand Helm for HP restoration. The Vanargand Helm wins if you're looking for SP though, since it procs more often than the Rideword Hat if the Vanargand Helm is at +9.

Rideword its good for short range hitters cuz you will want the HP restore too
In the end vanargand its good to leveling, so thats depends on the way that you will use(surely will save some straw/blues potion on high TI if youre a killer)

So +9 Vanargand > +9 RWH?
IMO:
If you want HP, use +9 RWH.
If you want SP, use +9 VH.
If you want power use something else.
