Lag happens its like breathing eventually you will breath and eventually we all experience lag. Most of the time it has nothing to do with the game servers but everything to do with millions of miles of cables and wireless signals and things not being 100% up time or 100% gamer approved.

Depending on where you are at, like for me my ISP actually sells a "gaming internet connection" what does that mean? Well means I can pay more to have a faster connection, nothing to do with ping times or latency only more speed. Most MMO's and Requiem is true to fit the amount of traffic is MUCH the size of traffic is LITTLE.

What causes lag, well your connection routes through a series of systems that arbitrarily determine what is the best and quickest way for you to get to your end destination. Sadly some of these routes are never the best. If you play overseas and connect to us. You will see lag, and its because you are there and we are way over here. There are services that offer proxy style routing that could help a gamer like you and me connect to servers that may not be in our backyards. lowerping.com for example is one of those companies that tries to help us gamers out, because the ISP is in the business of selling a connection that is good for say downloading a game file, but not really for playing it like we all want it to be.

So before you go all sorts of WTH what don't you guys set us up the bomb proxy server, and short answer is because its not in our business. Something we probably wouldn't want us do as much as you would yell at us for attempting it. So we are trying to partner up with some companies that may offer a service to increase the milliseconds between you and us.
