Donato,what Azzy is generally saying is that it is good to share your info or gears in this case,to other people in the thread,who could be just as curious as you,as in wanting to know how much damage this or that skill deals with certain equips.I mean,this is a forum for seeking more knowledge about the game and you made this thread specifically asking a relevant question about CC damage calculation,so why not let other viewers see what they can achieve if they had your same gear setup,etc.

Well, you asked for it...

Donato has boring - but extremely valuable - gear. 2 belts, sleip, hammer, arctic armor, keil bfg's, +9 KK EMH (poor choice imo - dark ping is better for AB damage, and he should be able to get insta easily with stat food/buffs so the cast time doesn't mean much either - so why KK?), +12 gtb immune shield, +12 mystic hbp (seriously?).

Only 100 base str, but 103 base int, and 106 vit instead of 96. If he'd backed off on the int/vit and gotten more str and luk, he would do more damage even after he took off the stupid mystic muffler and wore a raydric, which would easily make up for the durability he lost by dropping the 10 vit.

As requested damage on neutral element iron balls, and ghost element monsters with soul balls - with pyroclastic up.


Are these in good agreement with your damage in game? (of course, actual damage will be somewhat lower due to monsters having defense. I don't know how def is treated by CC (it's not treated the normal way) so I don't include that in the calc)

Oh, yeah. HBP's are so standard nowadays, I was referring to it with the old generic garment name without realizing it....

Anyway, I was thinking HBP when I wrote that, and my critique stands.

Interesting.... The gear really throws off the weighting of the stats...

Going to 109 str 100 int 11 luk gives a 2% improvement in AB damage while having a negligible impact on CC damage, or a 1% improvement in AB and 1% reduction in CC if you lose the mystic at the same time.

Going to 109 str 90 int 41 luk gives a 3% improvement in AB but reduces CC by 4% (that int is a big deal for CC damage, mainly because of the influence of the ridiculous amount of strength and watk you have - for more typical gear, this build comes out considerably better)

Actually, that int is such a big deal for CC that you get more CC damage from an elder willow card than a dark ping card (Betcha didn't know that! But I don't think it's true for more modestly geared chars)... Actually, if you overupgrade the EMH to +12, and put seyren card in it for +6 str, it would add more damage than elder willow or dark ping card, to both AB and CC. I think this holds true with normal gear too.

So let's try something different:
105 str 105 int 15 luk - +2% each to CC and AB, +1% if you lose mystic at same time.

That's much better than the alternatives.

And a dark ping in +9 EMH or Seyren in +12 EMH to boost it a bit more

Btw, I know the seyren card thing but.. why is it better? At +12 it's +6 STR (seyren) vs +10 ATK (dark ping). +6 STR = 6 ATK and 3 WATK. Does does 3 points make a big difference?
Another thing, why did you put 50 ATK/MATK instead of 733 and 327? And why those 2% Magic?
I guess I'm doing something wrong lol.

atk = 2*satk+watk+eatk, (not satk+watk+eatk) http://irowiki.org/wiki/Atk

6 str = 12 atk + 3% watk

160 atk sword -> 3% = 4 or 5 atk (depending on what your str is, and hence how it gets rounded.
With a 350 atk mjolnir, 3% = 7 or 8 atk

So 16-17 atk (19-20 for mjol user) vs 10 atk from ping.

Last time I tried using Azzy's calc a week ago the damage was way off. It generally shows higher damage than what is in game. For example, I do 32~36k with a ghost cannonball on the ghost plasma in nameless island, but the calc was stating I should do 46618~57539. Even accounting for DEF, the result was 35k~45k, which was still a good deal higher than what I saw in game.
