I have some questions.

2) How screwed am I if I pick a acolyte for my first char? is the game heavily party based? or am I going to be forced to solo mostly?
3) Does it have an auction house? I am so sick of the stall system ro1 uses, well its not so bad if gravity allows the bot that Ro1 has where it lists peoples stalls and such and is searchable
4) How pay2win is the game going to be? Ro1 is fairly pay2win since most of the better gear is all exclusive cash shop stuff.
5) Is there a free respec when you pick 2nd class? or do I if i wanted to say make a monk, have to start for it from level 1? (and what stats would I need? I know priest would be high wis/int/vit)
6) Anyway to change your chars look in game without needing cash shop items? like face and hair?
7) any general hints and tips you can give would be lovely.

2) Acolytes can hold their own pretty well, actually. They have good damaging skills and even some constant damage. But generally it's recommended that you at least have a party for bosses, and definitely dungeons.
3) Yes there's an auction house; there is one in Prontera and one in Alberta. You can also just vend at stalls though.
4) We have yet to truly see. So far it's turning out quite pay to win, but it may change. It's unknown.
5) Only for archers going beastmaster and acos going monk. Your stats and skills are reset. Don't bother with WIS, for the record, all it does is increase SP a minor amount.
6) I don't know about physical changes to the characters, sorry.

1) Is this beta wiping after it? or is it going right into release and we can keep our chars?
Yep there's a wipe. Beta ends April 22nd at 5pm.
2) How screwed am I if I pick a acolyte for my first char? is the game heavily party based? or am I going to be forced to solo mostly?
Solo'ing as a Acolyte is pointless—unless you go with a DPS build and decide to go monk. If you're going for a FS priest then you are indeed, "forced" to party. That's if you want to lvl up before you die of old age.
3) Does it have an auction house? I am so sick of the stall system ro1 uses, well its not so bad if gravity allows the bot that Ro1 has where it lists peoples stalls and such and is searchable
Yes there is an Auction house, and there is personal stalls for every class.
4) How pay2win is the game going to be? Ro1 is fairly pay2win since most of the better gear is all exclusive cash shop stuff.
From what I've seen, the only thing in the cash shop that is pay2win is the VIP which gives you 10% bonus to health and mana. Also gives you 5 points to every stat and boosts your movement speed by 20%.
5) Is there a free respec when you pick 2nd class? or do I if i wanted to say make a monk, have to start for it from level 1? (and what stats would I need? I know priest would be high wis/int/vit)
There is a skill reset if your are going from Acolyte to Monk, and Archer to Beastmaster. Every other class does not get a skill reset when they class advance. No you don't get a stat reset when you class advance. You class advance at lvl 25 and continue lvling up from there. Monk stats, I'm not so sure, I'll leave that to a more experienced player with Monks.
6) Anyway to change your chars look in game without needing cash shop items? like face and hair?
Ingame? The answer would be no. Not that I am aware of at least.
7) any general hints and tips you can give would be lovely.
Just have fun and remember, this is NOT RO1. Think of this as a completely different MMO with RO1 references lol. This game is very party based from what I've seen, you'll always need a healer or a DPSer (If your a healer yourself) to lvl up. Solo'ing is not the best idea, if you're a soloer your experience in this game will probably be limited.
Beta ends tomorrow at 5pm btw. After that it'll be 1 week and official will be released (or so they say).

Ahh since beta ends in like a day, I guess no real point in starting now, might as well wait till offical is out, then again if the highest lv char is kept I could just make 1 get a few levels on it then stop, then again my names usually never get taken.
My names are typically custom made so they're never taken. I did however decide to use a more common name this time which is now reserved lol.

if you do want to reserve your name, you just have to have your character at least level 10 (there's still plenty of time to get to that level. I think it took me a couple hours ?? when I first made my character I got distracted working on crafting. I don't remember lol). But if you have pretty unique names, then I guess you won't have to worry about them getting taken.

To that end, you have Spinels (in-combat Res), VIP Cards (10% HP boost), and Pandora's Keys.
I don't know if you understand how Pandora's Boxes work, so I'll give a brief rundown first.
- Monsters drop Boxes.
- Boxes can be opened by Mallets or Keys. Mallets and Keys have slightly different result pools.
- Mallets can be bought from Kafras for 1z.
Best things you can get from using Mallets are green or blue Pandora weapons, and purple accessories. This gear is as strong as about Lv.40-45 equipment, depending on what class you are, and you can equip them once you've job-changed at 25.
Best things you can get from using Keys are blue or purple Pandora weapons, and Graham Potions. Graham Potions boost HP by 3k for an hour. That's huge.
There are other things like Karnium (necessary if you want to refine purple gear to any significant level without breaking them), rune-enhancing potions, card synthesis thingies that prevent you from losing the card you're trying to upgrade, costume fusion to make slotted costumes, and a couple more things I can't think of right now.
But these aren't as important as the three things I described above for raids. Maybe they matter more for PVP outside of Colosseum.
